Courses
Sell a course of video, text, download and link lessons, with a player that saves progress, free previews and drip.
A course is a store product with modules of lessons. Students get a private course player that remembers where they got to. You sell it like any product: from its page, your link in bio, and your auto-replies.
Make a course
- 1Open Store → New product and choose A course. Add the name, price (0 to give it away for an email), a cover and what students learn.
- 2Press Add course and its lessons. Add a module, such as “Getting started”, then Add a lesson to it.
- 3Reorder modules and lessons with the arrows. Turn on For sale in the course's details when it's ready; it can be bought once it has a lesson.
Lessons
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Video | A YouTube (unlisted works), Vimeo (private links too), Loom or Google Drive link, played right in the lesson; or a video you upload, up to 2 GB |
| Text | The lesson written out. Blank lines make paragraphs and web addresses become links. |
| Download | A file students download: a PDF, worksheet, template or audio, up to 2 GB |
| Link | A page to open: a Notion page, a Google Doc, a live session |
- Every lesson can have notes under it and a length in minutes, which add up on the course page.
- Free preview lessons can be opened by anyone from the course page, before buying.
- Big uploads go up in parts, so keep the page open until they finish.
Drip
Each module can open straight away or some days after purchase (1 to 90). Students see when a locked module opens, and its lessons stay closed until then.
How students learn
- After paying (or getting a free course), they get an email with Start the course. The link is their access: there's no account to make, and it works on phones.
- The player lists every lesson with what they've finished. Complete and continue marks a lesson done and opens the next one.
- A refund ends their access.
Students
The course page in your dashboard (Store → Lessons) lists every student with their progress, when they joined and when they last opened the course.
From ChatGPT or Claude,
create_course drafts a whole course from an outline, add_course_lessons adds to it, and get_course reports students' progress. See the tools reference.
