Comparison · Link in bio
DMFast or Linktree for sending links on Instagram?
Linktree is a link-in-bio page first, and its Instagram auto-reply can also DM people who comment on your posts or Reels. DMFast starts from the other side: it automates comments, Story replies and DMs on Instagram and Facebook, and a link-in-bio page is one part of it. Pick the one whose main job matches yours.
DMFast publishes this page and is one of the two products compared. Facts about Linktree come from its own pages, read on 6 October 2026.

Our verdict
Linktree is the better pick if the bio page matters most: its paid tiers add link scheduling, appearance controls, advanced analytics, SEO controls and commerce, and its free plan sends up to 1,000 auto-reply DMs a month to commenters. DMFast suits you if the conversation matters more: Story replies, DM keywords, a Facebook Page, a follow check or emails collected in the chat.

How Linktree’s Instagram auto-reply works
Linktree’s help article on the feature, read on 6 October 2026, describes it like this. You connect a public Instagram account, choose posts or Reels, and decide whether any comment or only comments with your keywords trigger a DM. The DM carries text you write and a button with your own label, leading to a shop product or collection, one of your Linktree links, a custom URL or a Linktree Messaging prompt.
You can also set up to four public replies to post under the comments, and Pro and Premium add smart matching that catches misspelt keywords. The article does not mention Story replies, keywords sent by DM, Live comments, Facebook, a follow check or collecting emails.
| Linktree plan | Auto-reply DMs a month |
|---|---|
| Free | 1,000 |
| Starter | 1,500 |
| Pro | 2,500 |
| Premium | Unlimited |
What DMFast does with the same comment
DMFast replies under the comment and sends a first DM that is plain text and asks for a reply, such as “Reply YES and I’ll send it”. Once the person answers, the link card, buttons or a product carousel follow, and the conversation can go on: an email request, or on Pro a follow check and one reminder if they stop halfway.
The reply-first step asks the commenter for one short reply, but that reply is what opens Meta’s 24-hour window, the period in which a business may keep messaging someone. That window is what lets a tool send a second message, ask for an email or check a follow.
Beyond comments, DMFast answers replies and mentions on your Instagram Stories and keywords people send by DM, and it connects Facebook Pages, where comments and Messenger keywords are handled the same way. Its free plan counts people, not messages: 100 a month. Paid plans, from $9 a month, have no cap on people.
Limits both work within
- Meta allows one private reply per comment, sent within 7 days of the comment.
- An Instagram account can send at most 750 private replies to comments an hour. DMFast stays under 700, and an “unlimited” plan on any tool sits under the same ceiling.
- Comments left during a Live can get a private reply only while that Live is still running.
- Linktree’s monthly DM counts and DMFast’s monthly people count are each product’s own limits, on top of Meta’s.
The bio page and the prices
Linktree’s plans are built around the bio page. Free gives unlimited links, core appearance options and basic analytics. Starter adds link scheduling and more appearance controls and icons. Pro adds advanced analytics, priority links, SEO controls and monetisation tools, and Premium adds full analytics, commerce, marketing integrations, priority support and the option to remove Linktree’s branding.
Linktree’s pricing page shows prices in local currency, and they vary by region, so we haven’t listed them here; check linktr.ee/s/pricing for yours. Paid tiers can be billed monthly or annually, with a discount for annual. DMFast lists prices in US dollars: Free, then $9, $14 and $29 a month.
DMFast’s link-in-bio page has tracked links and shows a DMFast badge on Free, removed from Pro. In India the same page can sell digital products, lead magnets and 1-on-1 bookings through Razorpay, with no DMFast fee.
Using Linktree and DMFast together
You don’t have to pick only one. Keep Linktree as the bio page and let DMFast handle the conversations: a DMFast link card can point at your Linktree page or straight at a product.
Tip: Don’t switch on Linktree’s auto-reply and a DMFast comment automation for the same post. Meta allows one private reply per comment, so only one tool can send the DM, and the commenter may see two public replies.
Questions people ask
Does Linktree send automatic DMs on Instagram?
Yes. Its Instagram auto-reply sends a DM when someone comments on a post or Reel you pick, for any comment or only for your keywords. The DM holds your text and a button that opens a link. Free covers 1,000 DMs a month, Starter 1,500, Pro 2,500, and Premium has no cap.
Can Linktree reply to Story replies or Facebook comments?
Its help article covers comments on Instagram posts and Reels only, with no mention of Stories, DMs sent to you or Facebook. DMFast handles Story replies and mentions on Instagram and also connects Facebook Pages.
Do I need a business account for either?
Linktree’s article asks for a public Instagram account. DMFast needs an Instagram Business or Creator account, or a Facebook Page, because Meta opens its messaging API only to those.
Can DMFast replace my Linktree page?
It can if a page of links is all you need: DMFast includes a link-in-bio page with tracked links, and in India it can sell from it. If you rely on Linktree’s link scheduling, analytics tiers, commerce or marketing integrations, keep Linktree for the bio and use DMFast for the DMs.
Who is behind this page?
DMFast, one of the two products compared. Linktree’s details come from its pricing page and its help article on Instagram auto-reply, both read on 6 October 2026, and we left out what those pages didn’t state.
