DMFast vs Beacons

Both Beacons and DMFast send a DM when someone comments a trigger word on Instagram, but they are built for different jobs. Beacons centres on a link-in-bio page with a store, a media kit and email marketing; DMFast centres on replying to Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs. The real differences are seller fees, Facebook support and everything around that DM.

DMFast publishes this page and is one of the two products compared. Facts about Beacons come from its own pages, read on 6 October 2026.

Our verdict

Beacons suits creators who want one free account for links, a media kit, email newsletters and a store that isn’t limited to India, with Smart Reply covering Instagram comments. DMFast suits accounts where answering comments and DMs is the main job, including on a Facebook Page, and sellers in India who want no fee taken on sales without paying for a $30 plan.

DMFastOurs

Built from opposite ends

Beacons puts the bio page in the middle and adds the tools a creator business runs on: a store, a media kit, email marketing and, on paid plans, AI brand outreach. DMFast puts the inbox in the middle. Its core is comment-to-DM, replies to Story replies and mentions, keywords sent by DM, email capture and AI replies, with a link-in-bio page and an India-only store built around them.

Both cover the step where a comment becomes a DM, and Beacons calls its version Smart Reply. That moves the choice away from “which auto-DM tool” and towards “which home for everything else”. If your income leans on brand deals and newsletters, Beacons has more of that built in. If your posts bring a steady flow of comments, questions and Story replies that need answering, DMFast is made for that work.

We make DMFast, so read this as one side’s account. Every Beacons fact here comes from Beacons’ own help centre and update notes, read on 6 October 2026.

Smart Reply next to DMFast’s comment-to-DM

Beacons’ update notes from August and September 2026 describe Smart Reply as the tool that automatically DMs fans a link when they comment your trigger word on an Instagram post. This is how it lines up with DMFast on the details that shape daily use.

Prices and seller fees, checked 6 October 2026

At the time of writing, Beacons has four plans. Free costs $0 and keeps a 9% fee on sales. Creator is $10 a month or $100 a year, with the same 9% (0% on invoices). Creator Plus is $30 a month or $300 a year and drops the seller fee to 0%. Creator Max is $90 a month or $900 a year. DMFast’s plans are Free, Pro at $9 a month, Growth at $14 and Business at $29, and its store takes no cut of sales on any of them.

The 9% starts to matter once you sell every month. On $500 of sales, Beacons Free or Creator keeps $45 in seller fees. Counting only that fee, moving from Creator at $10 to Creator Plus at $30 pays for itself above about $222 of sales a month, and moving straight from Free to Creator Plus, above about $333.

DMFast’s store has its own catch: only sellers in India can use it. Buyers pay in rupees through Razorpay, Razorpay’s payment fee comes off each sale, and payouts go to an Indian bank account linked to your PAN. Outside India, DMFast can still send a Beacons product link by DM, but it can’t take the payment itself.

Tip: Both free plans carry branding. Beacons shows its logo until Creator Plus, and on Free and Creator, Smart Reply adds a “Sent with Beacons” line that goes away if you switch off its opening DM. DMFast’s free bio page shows a DMFast badge, which the Pro plan removes.

Accounts, platforms and the limits that bite

  • DMFast connects Instagram Business and Creator accounts and Facebook Pages. It does not work with personal Instagram accounts, TikTok, Threads or WhatsApp.
  • Beacons’ Smart Reply connects to an Instagram account, and its update notes don’t mention Facebook.
  • Either bio page is an ordinary web address, so it can sit in a TikTok or YouTube profile too. Only the DM automation is tied to Instagram, plus Facebook in DMFast’s case.
  • Instagram accepts one private reply per comment, within 7 days of it, and at most 750 private replies an hour per account. DMFast stays under 700 an hour, which matters when a Reel takes off.
  • DMFast’s free plan answers up to 100 people a month and collects up to 10 emails; Pro lifts both caps. Beacons’ free plan includes 50 email marketing sends.

Questions people ask

Does Beacons have auto-DMs like DMFast?

Yes. Beacons calls it Smart Reply. When someone comments your trigger word on an Instagram post, they get a DM with your Beacons page, another link or a text-only reply. Its update notes also list DM triggers, a follow-up for people who didn’t click, and an email request inside the DM.

Can Smart Reply and DMFast run on the same post?

Not usefully. Each comment can receive only one private reply, so two tools watching one post race for the same reply. Give each post to one tool, or keep Beacons as your bio page and let DMFast handle the comments.

Which is better for selling ebooks or presets?

It depends on where you sell. Beacons’ store comes with every plan, Free included, but keeps 9% of sales until you pay $30 a month for Creator Plus, which also adds memberships and courses. DMFast’s store takes no fee but works only in India, and it sells a file, a link, a lead magnet or a 1-on-1 booking, with Razorpay’s payment fee still applying.

Does either one answer Facebook Page comments?

DMFast does: it replies to comments on Page posts and to messages in Messenger. Facebook has no Story replies or follow gate, so those stay Instagram features. Beacons’ Smart Reply notes describe Instagram only.

Do I need an Instagram professional account?

Yes for DMFast. Instagram opens its messaging API only to Business and Creator accounts, so tools that send DMs through it need one. Switching a personal account to a Creator account is free and done in Instagram’s settings.
