DMFast vs LinkDM

LinkDM is built for volume: its free plan allows 1,000 DMs a month and Platinum+ goes to 300,000, for comments on Instagram posts, Reels and Facebook posts and for Story replies. Our verdict

Choose LinkDM if volume is the priority or you run ads and Lives: Pro answers comments on sponsored posts and Instagram Lives, and Platinum+ handles 300,000 DMs a month with an overflow queue. Choose DMFast if you want AI replies, a link-in-bio page, or email capture before you pay anything, with Pro at $9 a month and no people limit.

Strengths and limits

DMFastOurs

Best for: Creators and small businesses that want Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs answered automatically, starting on a free plan.

Strengths

  • Sends a DM when someone comments a keyword on a post or Reel, and replies to Story replies, mentions and DM keywords.
  • Skips link and promo-spam comments, and answers each person once a day per auto-reply.
  • Collects emails in the chat with CSV export, and includes a link-in-bio page and tracked links.
  • Works from ChatGPT and Claude through its MCP server.
  • A free plan with no time limit, and paid plans from $9 a month.

Limits

  • Works only with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages: no WhatsApp, TikTok, Threads or personal Instagram accounts.
  • The Store, for digital products, lead magnets and bookings, is India only, with payments through Razorpay.
  • AI replies need the Growth or Business plan and use 1 credit per reply.

LinkDM

Best for: Creators and brands that send a lot of auto-DMs from Instagram and Facebook comments and Stories, from 1,000 a month free up to 300,000 on Platinum+.

Strengths

  • Even the free plan covers post and Reel comments, Story replies, Story @mentions and Facebook comments, using a keyword or answering every comment.
  • Pro adds replies to Instagram Live comments and to comments on sponsored posts, plus Rewind, which can backsend DMs to eligible comments.
  • Platinum+ is the high-volume plan: 300,000 DMs a month across 10 accounts, with a rate limiter, a DM overflow queue and a slow-down mode.
  • A certified Meta Business Partner since 2021 that uses the official Instagram APIs. It tracks clicks on links sent by DM and lists Kit and Flodesk integrations.

Limits

  • DMs sent on the free plan carry LinkDM branding; removing it, and posting a public reply under each comment, both need Pro.
  • Email capture, inbox automation and the DM planner all start on Pro at $19 a month.
  • There is no plan between Pro at $19 a month and Platinum+ at $99 a month.
  • Its home and pricing pages do not mention AI-written replies or a link-in-bio page.

How far each free plan goes

LinkDM’s free plan is the bigger one by volume: one Instagram account, up to 1,000 DMs a month, and automations for posts, Reels, Stories and Facebook comments. Its pricing page lists access to your last 10 posts, and DMs sent on it carry LinkDM branding. The public reply under each comment, email capture and inbox automation start on Pro.

DMFast’s free plan trades volume for features. It covers one account and 100 people a month, counting each person once however many messages you swap, and includes comment-to-DM with the public reply, Story replies and mentions, DM keywords, up to 10 collected emails and a bio page. The units differ, so the numbers don’t line up one to one: LinkDM counts DMs sent, DMFast counts people.

Tip: A rough test: one Reel that draws 300 keyword comments in a month fits LinkDM’s free plan even if each person gets two messages. On DMFast the same Reel needs Pro, because Free covers 100 people.

Paid plans and the gap between them

LinkDM Pro is $19 a month, or $182 a year, for 25,000 DMs a month and up to 3 Instagram accounts. It adds the public comment reply, branding removal, Lead Gen for emails, inbox automation, reminder DMs, Rewind for older comments, replies on ads and Instagram Lives, and a slow-down mode. Platinum+ is $99 a month, or $832 a year, for 300,000 DMs a month, 10 accounts, a DM overflow queue and chat with the LinkDM team.

DMFast climbs in smaller steps: Pro at $9 for 3 accounts with unlimited people and emails, the follow check, a reminder, scheduled DMs and older comments; Growth at $14 for AI replies with 1,000 credits a month; Business at $29 for 10 accounts and 5 seats. LinkDM has nothing between $19 and $99, so an agency that outgrows 3 accounts goes straight to Platinum+. Prices were checked on 6 October 2026.

Setting up your first auto-DM

In LinkDM you link a post or Reel and choose whether a trigger keyword or every comment starts the DM. The free plan also includes Inbox Starters, which shows up to four conversation starters in your inbox, and Next Post, for drafting the automation of a post you haven’t published yet. Pro adds Universal Triggers, set once and reused across placements, plus flow automation and a DM Planner for scheduled posts.

A DMFast auto-DM needs a post or Reel, a comment word such as LINK, a public reply and an opening message, all on one form. It starts with plain text asking them to reply, and the link card arrives once they answer. On Pro you can hold the link until the person follows you and send one reminder message if they stop partway.

When a Reel takes off

LinkDM names several features for this moment. Its home page describes a conservative send limit in line with Instagram’s developer guidelines and a queue so DMs aren’t missed; Pro adds a slow-down mode for Reels that are “blowing up”, and Platinum+ an overflow queue.

DMFast works to Instagram’s hourly ceiling of 750 private replies to comments per account, keeping below 700 and holding the overflow in a queue that clears within the 7-day window. It also ignores link and promo-spam comments and answers each person once a day per auto-reply, so bots don’t eat into your replies.

Tip: No tool can send a private reply to a comment more than 7 days old through Meta’s API, so LinkDM’s Rewind and DMFast’s replies to older comments both reach only the past week of comments.

Facebook, emails and follows

  • Facebook: both answer Facebook comments with a DM, and LinkDM includes it on the free plan. DMFast also answers keywords sent to your Page in Messenger. Its Story replies and follow check are Instagram-only, as Facebook has no equivalent.
  • Emails: LinkDM’s Lead Gen, on Pro, captures addresses in the chat, and its home page lists connecting lead forms to Kit and Flodesk. DMFast asks for an email before the link goes out, rejects throwaway addresses and exports a CSV. If your list lives in Kit or Flodesk, LinkDM saves the import step.
  • Follows: DMFast’s Pro plan can hold the link until someone follows you on Instagram. LinkDM’s Pro plan lists a “Follower Growth Tool” without describing it on its home or pricing page, so ask LinkDM how it works before relying on it.
  • Track record: LinkDM says it has been a certified Meta Business Partner since 2021 and uses the official Instagram APIs. DMFast is built on Meta’s official APIs too.

Questions people ask

Is LinkDM free?

Yes, there’s a free plan for one Instagram account with up to 1,000 DMs a month, covering posts, Reels, Stories and Facebook comments. DMs on it carry LinkDM branding, and the public comment reply, email capture and inbox automation need Pro at $19 a month.

Does LinkDM have AI replies or a link-in-bio page?

Not at the time of writing. Its home and pricing pages don’t mention AI-written replies, and the home page says LinkDM doesn’t offer link-in-bio services like Linktree. DMFast has a bio page on every plan, and AI replies on Growth and Business, built only on the business details you provide.

What does each charge for three Instagram accounts?

LinkDM Pro covers up to 3 Instagram accounts for $19 a month, with 25,000 DMs a month. DMFast Pro covers 3 accounts for $9 a month with no people limit, though AI replies need Growth at $14. Both prices were checked on 6 October 2026.

Can either tool message all my followers?

No. Both use Meta’s official API, and Meta doesn’t offer any official way to mass-DM followers. They answer people who comment, reply to a Story or message you first, within the windows Meta sets: 7 days for a private reply to a comment, 24 hours after someone’s last message for anything else.
