DMFast vs CreatorFlow: comment and Story auto-DMs

CreatorFlow and DMFast both turn a keyword comment, a Story reply or a DM into an automatic message, and both start free. CreatorFlow covers Instagram only and caps DMs on every plan, with a 14-day trial of its paid tiers. DMFast also answers Facebook Pages, has no cap on people once you pay, and adds AI replies on Growth.

DMFast publishes this page and is one of the two products compared. Facts about CreatorFlow come from its own pages, read on 6 October 2026.

Our verdict

Go with CreatorFlow if you only use Instagram and want a larger free allowance (500 DMs a month) or two weeks to test its follow and email gates before paying. Go with DMFast if you also run a Facebook Page, want AI to answer your DMs, or would rather not watch a monthly DM count: its paid plans have no cap on people.

Strengths and limits

DMFastOurs

Best for: Creators and small businesses that want Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs answered automatically, starting on a free plan.

Strengths

  • Sends a DM when someone comments a keyword on a post or Reel, and replies to Story replies, mentions and DM keywords.
  • Skips link and promo-spam comments, and answers each person once a day per auto-reply.
  • Collects emails in the chat with CSV export, and includes a link-in-bio page and tracked links.
  • Works from ChatGPT and Claude through its MCP server.
  • A free plan with no time limit, and paid plans from $9 a month.

Limits

  • Works only with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages: no WhatsApp, TikTok, Threads or personal Instagram accounts.
  • The Store, for digital products, lead magnets and bookings, is India only, with payments through Razorpay.
  • AI replies need the Growth or Business plan and use 1 credit per reply.

CreatorFlow

Best for: Instagram creators who want to start free with comment and Story auto-DMs, then add follow and email gates with click tracking for $15 a month.

Strengths

  • The free plan is not a trial: it keeps comment-to-DM, Story reply automation, unlimited automations and keyword triggers, and done-for-you templates.
  • Pro adds a follow gate and an email gate, so the link only arrives after someone follows you or shares an email address.
  • Link click tracking on Pro shows clicks by country and when people engage, and DM top-up packs add more DMs past the monthly cap.
  • Pro and Growth start with a 14-day free trial, and paying annually brings Pro down to $12 a month.
  • It describes itself as a Meta Tech Provider on Instagram’s official Graph API, with no bots, browser extensions or password sharing.

Limits

  • Every plan has a monthly DM cap: 500 on Free, 5,000 per workspace on Pro and 10,000 on Growth.
  • The follow gate, email gate and click tracking are not part of the free plan.
  • Its home and pricing pages cover Instagram only; Facebook Pages, AI-written replies and a link-in-bio page are not mentioned.

Counting DMs versus counting people

The free plans measure different things. CreatorFlow counts automated DMs. DMFast counts people: its free plan starts conversations with up to 100 people in a calendar month, however many messages each conversation holds.

So the real size of each free plan depends on your flow. If every person gets two messages, say an opener and then the link, 500 DMs reach about 250 people; at three messages, about 166. CreatorFlow’s free plan reaches more people than DMFast’s unless each person receives five or more messages.

Paid plans change the picture. CreatorFlow keeps a cap on every tier, 5,000 DMs a month per workspace on Pro and 10,000 on Growth, and sells top-up packs for more. DMFast’s paid plans set no limit on people or emails. Instagram’s own ceiling applies to both: 750 private replies to comments per account per hour, and DMFast keeps under 700.

Follow and email gates

Both tools can hold the link back until the person does something first. CreatorFlow’s follow gate and email gate come with Pro and Growth, and contacts export as CSV. On DMFast the follow check, called “Only send to followers”, starts on Pro and works on Instagram only, since Facebook has no follow to check. Email capture runs on every DMFast plan, up to 10 addresses on Free and unlimited from Pro, with CSV export, and throwaway addresses are turned away.

Tip: To try a follow gate before paying, CreatorFlow’s 14-day trial is the quicker route. On DMFast the follow check needs Pro, while email capture can be tested on the free plan.

Platforms and extras

CreatorFlow’s home and pricing pages talk about Instagram only. They did not mention Facebook Pages, AI-written replies or a link-in-bio page when we read them. It describes itself as a Meta Tech Provider using Instagram’s official Graph API, with no bots, browser extensions or password sharing.

DMFast works through Meta’s official APIs for Instagram Business and Creator accounts and Facebook Pages. On Instagram it covers post and Reel comments, Story replies and mentions, and DM keywords; on a Page, comments and Messenger keywords. It also has a link-in-bio page, tracked links, and an MCP server that lets you use it from ChatGPT or Claude.

Each lists extras the other doesn’t mention. CreatorFlow’s Pro shows link clicks by country and the times people engage, and its free plan already includes done-for-you templates. DMFast skips link and promo-spam comments, answers each person once a day per auto-reply, and can look up any public Instagram account, with 10 look-ups a month on Free.

Questions people ask

Is CreatorFlow free?

Yes, it has a free-forever plan: 1 Instagram account and 500 automated DMs a month, with comment-to-DM, Story reply automation, unlimited automations and keyword triggers. The follow gate, email gate and click tracking need Pro or Growth.

Does CreatorFlow have a free trial?

Pro and Growth both start with 14 days free, according to its pricing page on 6 October 2026. DMFast takes a different route: a free plan with no time limit, so you can keep testing on one account for as long as you like.

Can CreatorFlow answer Facebook comments?

Its site didn’t say so when we checked; the home and pricing pages only describe Instagram. If people also comment on your Facebook Page, DMFast replies to them by Messenger and answers keywords sent to the Page.

What happens when the monthly limit runs out?

On CreatorFlow you can buy DM top-up packs to send past the cap. On DMFast’s free plan, auto-replies stop starting new conversations after 100 people in a calendar month; paid plans have no cap on people, so there is nothing to top up.

Which plan suits a small team?

CreatorFlow’s Growth, at $30 a month or $24 billed annually, includes 5 Instagram accounts, 5 team seats and 10,000 DMs a month. DMFast’s Business, at $29 a month, has 10 accounts and 5 seats with no cap on people, plus 2,500 AI credits. Count the accounts you need first.
