Beacons alternatives, and the fee maths

Beacons does a lot in one free account: unlimited links, up to five link-in-bio pages, a media kit, a store and Instagram auto-DMs triggered by Reels, posts, Stories and keywords. If you use most of that, switching splits one tool into two or three.

Creator Plus subscribers have even less reason to move. That plan brings 0% seller fees, unlimited emails, memberships, courses, order bumps and buy now pay later. DMFast has no memberships, courses or email newsletters, and its Store sells only in India.

A note first: DMFast is the publisher of this page. It suits creators whose messages need more work than their page. It replies on Facebook Pages through Messenger as well as on Instagram, asks for an email address inside the chat and exports the list as CSV, and on the Growth plan ($14 a month) writes AI replies using only the business information you give it.

In India, its Store sells digital products, lead magnets and 1-on-1 bookings through Razorpay. DMFast takes no fee on those sales, though Razorpay’s own payment fee still applies. The bio page is basic: a light, dark or gradient theme, links with click counts and your products, with no media kit.

1. Keep your own copies of what you’d have to rebuild: product files, descriptions and prices, plus your email subscriber list.
2. If brands have the link to your Beacons media kit, prepare a replacement before you close anything.
3. Turn off Smart Reply on a post before setting up the same keyword in another tool. Each comment can be answered privately only once, so two tools on one post compete.
4. Selling outside India? DMFast’s Store can’t take your products over. Pair it with a store such as Gumroad, or keep Beacons for sales and move only the DMs.
5. Swap the link in your Instagram bio last, after the new page and products are live.

At the time of writing, Beacons Creator is $10 a month and keeps 9% of each sale, while Creator Plus is $30 a month with no seller fee. The gap is $20, and 9% of about $222 is $20, so above roughly $222 of sales a month Creator Plus is the cheaper plan. On yearly billing ($100 against $300) the crossover drops to about $185 a month.

Starting from the free plan, Creator Plus pays for itself above about $333 of monthly sales. These sums count Beacons’ own fee only. DMFast costs $0, $9, $14 or $29 a month, depending on the plan, with no fee on Store sales in India.
