Instagram bios for yoga teachers
A yoga teacher's bio should say what you teach, who it is for and how to join a class, in a calm voice and without big promises. These original bios cover teachers, studios and online classes, with a formula to build your own.

Tips for your bio
Say the style and the level in the first line. 'Vinyasa for beginners' tells a new student they are welcome, which 'Yoga lover' does not.
Name your training only if it is real and current, and write it the way your certifying body does. Do not call yourself a therapist or promise to cure pain, stress or any condition.
Put your class timetable in the link in your bio, or on a pinned post, and keep the bio itself short. Timetables change, and a bio that lists old times looks neglected.
A location line helps local search. A neighbourhood or city is plenty, and you do not need to give a studio's full address if you teach in a home or a park.
Try a short free offer as your call to action, such as a 10-minute flow or a stretch guide. It gives someone an easy first step before they book a full class.
Questions people ask
What should a yoga teacher put in their Instagram bio?
The style you teach, who your classes are for, where or how to join, and one next step such as a booking link or a free class. Add your training only if you hold it, written as your certifying body writes it.
Can I say yoga will help with pain or stress in my bio?
Be careful. Yoga helps many people feel better, but a bio that claims to treat or cure a condition can mislead and may be against advertising rules where you live. Describe what you teach, not what it will fix.
Should a yoga studio and a teacher use different bios?
Yes. A studio's bio names the place, the styles on offer and how to book. A teacher's bio is personal: what you teach, your voice and where people can find your classes.
How do I get class bookings from my bio?
Give one clear action. A booking link, a DM keyword or a trial class offer works well. Make sure the page you send people to loads quickly on a phone and shows the next available class.
How long can an Instagram bio be?
150 characters, counting spaces, emoji and line breaks. Every bio on this page fits, and the count beside each one shows what is left.
