Instagram bios for florists

A florist’s bio should say what you make, where you deliver and how to order, because flowers are often bought in a hurry. Copy a bio below, add your area and your cut-off times, and keep the order link easy to find.

Write your own

A bio that works usually has the same few parts. Fill them in for yours, or start from the example.

  1. What you make and your area
  2. Your style or sourcing
  3. How and when to order
  4. A next step

Tips for your bio

  1. Say where you deliver and when the order cut-off is. Flower buyers often decide in minutes, so “same-day delivery in [area], order by 2pm” answers the question before they ask it.

  2. Put “florist” and your town in the name field, such as “Rosa | Florist in Leeds”. People search for a florist near them, and Instagram searches the name before the bio.

  3. Turn on a location in your profile if you have a shop people can visit. If you work from home, use the town or area instead of a street address.

  4. Save highlights for “Weddings”, “Bouquets”, “Delivery info” and “Care tips”. A bride and a last-minute birthday buyer are looking for different answers.

  5. Pin posts that show your range and price starting points, such as “Bouquets from [amount]”. Do not promise a particular stem, because flowers change with the season and the market.

  6. Plan for busy dates. Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and wedding season bring floods of questions, so put the order link and the deadline in the bio for those weeks.

Questions people ask

What should a florist put in an Instagram bio?

Say what you make, where you deliver and how to order. Add a line about your style, such as wild, seasonal or modern, and a link to your shop or enquiry form. Opening days and cut-off times save a lot of messages.

Should I put delivery times in my bio?

Yes, if they are fixed. A line like “order by 2pm for same-day delivery” helps buyers and cuts repeat questions. Update it when your schedule changes, because an old promise is worse than none.

How can a florist get orders from Instagram?

Point the bio to one order page, post bouquets with a price starting point and tell people exactly how to buy, such as “DM BOUQUET” or a link. Answer quickly, because flowers are often bought for a date.

Do I need a business account to sell flowers on Instagram?

A Business or Creator account gives you contact buttons, a category label under your name and insights. It is also the account type needed for automated replies to comments and DMs, for example during a busy holiday week.

How long can an Instagram bio be?

150 characters, with spaces, emoji and line breaks counted. Each bio above fits, and the counter beside it shows how long it is.
