Instagram auto-replies for travel agents

A travel agent posts a beach at sunset and gets forty comments saying how much, from different countries, at midnight. Comment-to-DM answers each with questions that make a quote possible: dates, travellers, budget. It cannot confirm prices or availability, and the page explains how to keep that honest.

Comment words for travel agents

Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.

QUOTE
How you build a quote: the dates, travellers and budget you need, how long it takes to come back and how long the price stays valid.
ITINERARY
A sample day-by-day plan for the destination in the post, with a note that your real itinerary is built around the traveller.
HONEYMOON
Your honeymoon packages: where you send couples, what you add that a booking site does not and when to start planning.
GROUP
How group trips work: the minimum numbers, one person paying or splitting, your deposit schedule and the organiser's free place if you offer one.
DEPOSIT
What the deposit secures, when the balance falls due, what is refundable and what protection covers your clients' money.
DEALS
Current offers with their dates and conditions, and the date you last checked each, so nobody arrives after an offer has ended.
VISA
Where to check entry rules for the destination, including an official government source, with a note that you advise but the traveller must confirm.

4 set-ups to try

Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

  • Quote requests from a destination Reel

    Someone comments on your post

    QUOTE

    Public reply under their comment

Happy to help, I've sent the details to your DMs ✈️

    First DM (plain text)

Thanks for the comment. Roughly when would you like to travel, how many of you are going and do you have a budget in mind? Reply and I'll send how a quote works and how long it takes.Yes pleaseHow to get a travel quoteSee how it works

A price for a destination means nothing without dates and party size. Three simple questions let the agent come back with a real number, and the DM sets the expectation that a quote is built by a person.

  • Sample plan from a “seven days in” carousel

    Someone comments on your post

    ITINERARY

    Public reply under their comment

The sample plan is in your DMs

    First DM (plain text)

Thanks for asking. Is this for a couple, a family or friends, and are you more into relaxing or seeing a lot? Reply and I'll send a sample plan, which we then adjust to your trip.Yes pleaseA sample seven-day planSee the plan

Itineraries are the most requested thing under a destination post. A pace question separates people who want beaches from those who want a packed week, and a free sample is the step before a paid planning call.

  • Planning questions from a “where next?” Story poll

    Replied to your story

DEALSThanks for voting. Are you planning a trip in the next few months, or just dreaming for now? Reply and I'll send our current offers with their dates, and I'll tell you when the next ones come out.Current offers and datesSee the offers

Polls draw people who are browsing, so the timing question tells you who is ready. Offers on the card carry dates, so a reply that arrives a week late does not point to something that has ended.

  • Group trips from a wedding-guest or reunion post

GROUPThanks for asking. How many people are travelling, and is one person organising it for everyone? Reply and I'll send how group bookings work, including deposits and the payment dates.Group bookings explainedRead how it works

Groups fall apart over money and dates. Knowing the size and who is organising tells you whether to offer a group quote, and the card sets out the deposit schedule before anyone has committed.

What people ask a travel agent in DMs

The same question arrives in different words: what does it cost? Prices move with dates, rooms and the exchange rate, so the first job of an automatic reply is to collect what a quote needs.

Posts that fill the quote inbox

  • A carousel of seven days in one place, with ITINERARY for the plan.
  • A Reel of a villa or room from check-in, with QUOTE in the caption and the date range in the text.
  • A honeymoon you planned, with the couple's permission, with HONEYMOON.
  • A post about how to read a package price, with DEPOSIT for the terms.
  • A countdown Story to the end of an offer, with DEALS.
  • A post for a wedding party or a family reunion, with GROUP.

Agents tend to see trip planning peak after the New Year and again in late summer, when people book for the next winter. Check your own booking history to find your peaks, then switch the matching words on a few weeks early and test each one from a second account.

From a comment to a booked trip

  1. The first DM asks for dates, party size or budget so the quote request arrives complete.
  2. The card opens your enquiry form, your site or a call-booking page. DMFast does not search flights, check availability or take payment for a booking.
  3. Offer a packing list or a sample plan in return for an email, then export the list as a CSV for newsletters and offers.
  4. Turn on the one reminder for people who asked about a quote and stopped replying. Trips are often decided by two people who need a week to agree.
  5. Use scheduled DMs sparingly and only inside the 24-hour window after someone writes.

An agent in India could use the DMFast store to sell a ready-made itinerary as a digital product, or to take free or paid 1-on-1 planning calls, with payments through Razorpay. DMFast takes no fee on sales. The holiday itself is booked and paid for in your own systems.

Rules and honesty to check

  • Licensing and protection. Many countries require travel sellers to be licensed, bonded or covered by a financial-protection scheme, and the rules for package holidays differ from those for flights alone. Check yours and state your protection clearly.
  • Prices and availability. Prices change and rooms sell out, so say “from” only when people really pay that, give the date a price was checked and never promise availability in an automatic reply.
  • Visas and entry rules. State where to check, not what applies to a person. Rules change and a wrong answer can cost a traveller their trip.
  • Safety advice. Link to your government's official travel advice and do not summarise it in an automatic message.
  • Photos. Use images you have the right to use, and ask clients before posting theirs.
  • Meta's rules. One private reply per comment within 7 days, and messages only within 24 hours of someone's last message.

Questions people ask

Can the reply give someone a price for a package?

Only a price you wrote yourself, such as a “from” figure with a date. It does not search suppliers or check availability, so a real quote still needs a person. Use the first DM to collect dates and numbers and the card to say how long a quote takes.

Can I take a deposit through DMFast?

Not for a holiday. DMFast does not process payments for bookings. In India, its store can take payments through Razorpay for digital products and for 1-on-1 calls, such as a paid planning session, but trip deposits go through your own payment system.

People comment from around the world at night. Does it still work?

Yes. A comment gets its public reply and its private message when it arrives, whatever the hour. Meta allows one private reply per comment, within 7 days, and once the person answers you have 24 hours from their latest message to keep chatting.

Can I use it for a Facebook Page I post trips on?

Yes. Comments on Page posts and Messenger messages get the same keyword replies. Story replies and the follower gate are Instagram only, and WhatsApp, which many agents use for quotes, is not supported.

Should AI replies answer visa or safety questions?

No. AI replies on the Growth and Business plans answer only from the information you give them, so give them your services, how quotes work and official links, and tell them to send visa, health and safety questions to the official source and to a person.
