Topmate alternatives for coaches and creators

Topmate is built for selling time. Beyond 1:1 sessions it handles Priority DM, webinars, group sessions, live cohorts and packages, with scheduling and Zoom Pro included. If you earn from cohorts or group calls, check that a replacement offers those formats before you move.

• You sell little or unevenly. Selling has no upfront or monthly fee, so a quiet month costs nothing unless you pay for Auto DM.
• New buyers find you through Topmate’s marketplace. Those sales cost 20%, but they are customers you didn’t have to bring.
• You sell abroad and use its country-based pricing, instant payouts, discount codes or cart abandonment emails.
• You value its privacy note: the Auto DM page says Topmate doesn’t store your Instagram DMs or comments or train its AI on them.

Read this knowing DMFast is our product. It overlaps with Topmate most for creators in India who sell 1-on-1 calls and digital products. DMFast’s Store sells digital products, lead magnets and 1-on-1 bookings through Razorpay with no DMFast fee on sales; Razorpay’s own payment fee still comes off. Comment-to-DM, Story replies, DM keywords and email capture come with every plan instead of as an add-on, though the free plan stops at 100 people a month.

That is also where it stops. Webinars, cohorts and a marketplace stay with Topmate, the Store doesn’t work outside India, and AI replies need Growth at $14 a month or Business at $29. On the other side, DMFast also answers comments and DM keywords on Facebook Pages, which Topmate’s Auto DM doesn’t mention.

Tip: Running both? Point only one tool at each post. Instagram allows one private reply per comment, so two auto-DM tools can’t both answer the same comment.

1. Write down each service: title, length, price and description, plus any packages and discount codes.
2. Deliver the sessions already booked before you hide your Topmate page, since those buyers will look for it.
3. Download any customer or payment records Topmate lets you export, for your own accounts.
4. Rebuild each Auto DM keyword in the new tool. Switch the Topmate automation off on a post before switching the new one on.
5. A private reply is only allowed within 7 days of a comment, so change tools between launches, not halfway through one.
6. Update your bio link, then any Story Highlights or pinned comments that still point at Topmate.
7. Cancel Auto DM at the end of a billing period. The ₹399 plan is billed monthly only.

At the time of writing, Topmate charges nothing upfront to sell, keeps 10% of sales through your page and bills Auto DM separately. Here is what that comes to with Basic Auto DM at ₹999 a month:

Once sales through Topmate reach ₹10,000 a month, the commission alone matches the Basic Auto DM price; at ₹50,000 it is five times as much. These figures leave out the 2%/3% transaction fees listed in Topmate’s comparison table, and marketplace sales cost 20% rather than 10%.

For comparison, SuperProfile’s Creator plan is $29 a month with 0% commission, and DMFast takes no fee on Store sales, with plans from $0 to $29 a month and Razorpay’s payment fee taken from each sale. A commission is kinder in quiet months and a flat price is kinder in busy ones.
