Taplink alternatives and how to move

The usual alternatives to Taplink are Linktree for a free page with Instagram auto-replies, Carrd for a low-cost one-page site, Beacons or Milkshake for selling from a free plan, and DMFast for answering Instagram and Facebook messages. Taplink remains the stronger pick for a mini-site with price lists, lead forms and a built-in CRM.

DMFast publishes this page and is one of the options on it, labelled as ours. Facts about the other products come from their own websites, checked on 6 October 2026.

Why people look beyond Taplink

  • Paid plans can’t be bought month to month. Taplink sells Pro and Business for three, six or twelve months at a time, with discounts for longer periods.
  • Image, video and music blocks, price lists and click analytics all start on Pro.
  • Payments, digital products, lead forms, a custom domain and removing the Taplink branding all need Business, the top plan.
  • Taplink’s home and pricing pages describe a page builder only, with no automation for Instagram comments or DMs.

Alternatives to consider

DMFast, ours, comes first. The others are listed best fit first.

  1. DMFast

    OursDM automation

Includes a link-in-bio page, and also sends your links by DM when someone comments a keyword on a post or Reel.

Limits: Works only with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages: no WhatsApp, TikTok, Threads or personal Instagram accounts.

  2. Linktree

    Link in bio

Linktree can be paid monthly or yearly, its free plan has unlimited links, and it sends Instagram auto-DMs from post and Reel comments, with monthly limits by plan.

Best for: Creators and brands that want a free link-in-bio page with unlimited links, and may later pay for scheduling, deeper analytics or commerce.

  3. Carrd

    Link in bio

Carrd is the nearest thing to Taplink’s mini-site: one page with sections you arrange yourself, forms on Pro Standard at $19 a year, and payments through Stripe, PayPal or Gumroad widgets.

Best for: People who want a low-cost one-page site they design themselves, with a custom domain, forms and payment widgets from $19 a year.

  4. Beacons

    Link in bio

Beacons lets you sell from the free plan, at a 9% fee, and its Creator plan is $10 billed monthly, so there is no three-month commitment.

Best for: Creators who want one home for their links, media kit, a small store and email marketing, starting on the free plan.

  5. Milkshake

    Link in bio

Milkshake’s free plan sells digital files through Stripe for a 12% fee, where Taplink keeps payments for Business. You build the page on your phone.

Best for: Creators who want to build a small mobile site on their phone and start selling digital files on the free plan, accepting a fee on each sale.

What Taplink does well, and its limits

Taplink

Best for: Small businesses that want their bio link to open a mini-site with price lists, forms and payments rather than a plain list of links.

Strengths

  • The free Basic plan has unlimited links, text and custom blocks, maps, messenger and social buttons, page-view stats, shared access and a QR code.
  • Business turns the page into a small sales site: internal pages, digital products, payments, application forms for leads and a built-in CRM.
  • Business also sends automated emails, notifies you of new leads and payments, and adds a countdown timer.
  • Pro adds image, video and music blocks, price lists, custom HTML, social media pixels, scheduled blocks and click analytics.

Limits

  • Paid plans are sold for at least three months at a time, billed quarterly, every six months or yearly, with discounts for longer periods.
  • Payments, digital products, lead forms, a custom domain and removing Taplink branding all need the Business plan.
  • Its home and pricing pages describe a page builder only and list no Instagram comment or DM automation.

When to stay with Taplink

Stay if your page works as a small sales site. Pro adds price lists, and Business adds internal pages, application forms that feed a built-in CRM, automated emails, alerts for new leads and payments, and a countdown timer. DMFast’s bio page has none of those.

Stay, too, if most customers message you on WhatsApp. Taplink’s free plan includes messenger buttons, and DMFast does not work with WhatsApp at all. And if you prepaid a year, there is little point leaving before it runs out.

When DMFast fits

DMFast is our product, and we wrote this page. A Taplink page waits for people to tap; DMFast answers the ones who ask. When someone comments PRICE under a Reel or sends HOURS in a DM, a keyword reply goes out automatically, on Instagram and on Facebook Pages through Messenger. It can also ask for an email address in the chat and export the list as CSV.

Its plans are monthly: Free, then Pro at $9, Growth at $14 with AI replies, and Business at $29. The bio page is simple, with links, click counts and Store products for sellers in India, and it has no price lists, maps, forms or custom domain.

How to switch from Taplink

  1. Plan the move for the end of your paid period, since Taplink bills three, six or twelve months ahead.
  2. Copy your links and block text. A price list can become a DM keyword reply, such as PRICE, so customers get it on request.
  3. Make sure you have the leads and payment records from Taplink’s CRM before the plan lapses.
  4. Replace any printed Taplink QR code on menus, packaging or posters, because it keeps pointing at the old page.
  5. Change the link in your Instagram bio, then everywhere else you shared it, such as a WhatsApp Business profile or a Google Business Profile.

How the billing differs

We have not quoted Taplink’s prices, so check its pricing page for the current rate at the plan length you want. Basic stays free, and the longer you prepay for Pro or Business, the lower the rate.

The alternatives here bill in other ways. Linktree and Beacons can be paid monthly or yearly, Carrd’s Pro plans are yearly from $9, Milkshake bills through the App Store or Google Play, and DMFast is monthly and can be cancelled at any time.

Questions people ask

Is Taplink free?

Yes. The Basic plan is permanently free, with unlimited links, text and custom blocks, maps, messenger and social buttons, page-view stats and a QR code. Images, video, payments and a custom domain need Pro or Business.

Can I pay for Taplink monthly?

Not according to its pricing page when we checked. Paid plans are sold for at least three months, billed quarterly, every six months or yearly.

Does Taplink reply to Instagram comments or DMs?

Its home and pricing pages describe a page builder and list no Instagram comment or DM automation. Linktree, Beacons and DMFast all send a DM when someone comments a chosen word.

What happens to my Taplink QR code if I switch?

A printed code points at your Taplink address, so it keeps sending people there. If you close the Taplink page, make a new code for the new page and replace the old one wherever it is printed.
