Komi alternatives, and when its Pro plan wins

Beacons is the nearest alternative to Komi, pairing a bio page with a store, email and AI brand outreach. hoo.be and Linktree suit people who mostly need links. Compare costs before you go: at the time of writing, Komi Pro gets you a 0% fee on digital product sales for a listed $16 a month, less than the $30 and $29.99 that Beacons and hoo.be charge for theirs.

DMFast publishes this page and is one of the options on it, labelled as ours. Facts about the other products come from their own websites, checked on 6 October 2026.

Why people look beyond Komi

  • Komi’s pricing page lists a 0% fee on digital product sales for Pro but doesn’t say what the free Starter plan charges, so free sellers can’t work out their costs from it.
  • Removing Komi branding and using your own domain both need Pro, listed at $16 a month next to a crossed-out $20.
  • Starter captures unlimited fan contacts, but sending email campaigns to them is a Pro feature.
  • Fans sign up on the mini-site, after tapping your bio link. Nothing on the pricing page answers Instagram comments or DMs, or collects contacts inside a conversation.
  • The pricing page doesn’t mention exporting your fan contacts, which matters if you plan to build a big list there.

Alternatives to consider

DMFast, ours, comes first. The others are listed best fit first.

  1. DMFast

    OursDM automation

Includes a link-in-bio page, and also sends your links by DM when someone comments a keyword on a post or Reel.

Limits: Works only with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages: no WhatsApp, TikTok, Threads or personal Instagram accounts.

  2. Beacons

    Link in bio

The closest match. Beacons also combines a bio page, a store and a media kit, its Creator plan adds AI brand outreach for $10 a month, and Creator Plus drops the seller fee to 0% for $30.

Best for: Creators who want one home for their links, media kit, a small store and email marketing, starting on the free plan.

  3. Hoo.be

    Link in bio

If you recommend products more than you sell your own, hoo.be shows items from Amazon, Shopify, Etsy and ShopMy next to your links, with a tip jar on the free plan. Its seller fee is 9% on Free.

Best for: Creators who want a designed bio page that brings together their links, shop products and tips, and people who manage up to five profiles.

  4. Linktree

    Link in bio

When brand deals and selling aren’t why you use Komi, Linktree’s free plan covers unlimited links and basic analytics, with scheduling and commerce available on paid tiers.

Best for: Creators and brands that want a free link-in-bio page with unlimited links, and may later pay for scheduling, deeper analytics or commerce.

  5. Milkshake

    Link in bio

Milkshake sells digital files from its free plan, on a site you build on your phone. The catch is the fee: 12% of each sale on Free, falling to 7% on Pro+.

Best for: Creators who want to build a small mobile site on their phone and start selling digital files on the free plan, accepting a fee on each sale.

What Komi does well, and its limits

Komi

Best for: Creators who want a bio page tied to brand deals, and who plan to sell digital products or email their fans.

Strengths

  • Brand deals are built in: the free Starter plan includes access to them, and brands and agencies use the same platform for creator discovery and outreach.
  • Starter already covers unlimited fan contacts, unlimited content and affiliate links, and performance analytics.
  • Pro takes no fee on digital product sales and adds unlimited email campaigns, a Meta Pixel and a custom domain.

Limits

  • Removing Komi branding and using your own domain both need Pro.
  • The pricing page lists a 0% fee on digital product sales for Pro but does not say what Starter charges.
  • Sending email campaigns is a Pro feature.

When to stay with Komi

Stay if brand work pays a real share of your bills. Every Komi plan, the free one included, lists access to brand deals and its Brand Hub, and brands and agencies use the same platform to find and reach creators. A bio tool without that side won’t replace it.

  • You sell enough digital products that Pro’s 0% fee saves more than its monthly price.
  • You want to email the fans you collect without paying for a separate email tool.
  • You use more of the mini-site than links: events, video, audio, tipping and custom products all appear in its plan comparison.
  • You run ads and want the Meta Pixel on your page, which Pro includes.

When DMFast fits

DMFast is made by the team that publishes this page. It handles conversations, not brand deals or newsletters, so on its own it doesn’t replace Komi. It fits beside Komi, or any bio page, when fans reach you in the comments: someone comments a word such as PRESET on a Reel, DMFast replies publicly and sends a DM, and it can ask for their email inside that chat, ready to export as a CSV.

That is the practical difference. Komi collects contacts on the mini-site, from people who tapped your bio link. DMFast collects them in the DM, from people who commented.

  • Free stops at 100 people a month and 10 collected emails; Pro lifts both for $9 a month.
  • Business and Creator accounts on Instagram, plus Facebook Pages, are the only accounts it connects to.
  • Its Store, for digital products and bookings, is only available in India, with Razorpay.

How to switch from Komi

  1. Look in your dashboard, or ask Komi, for a way to export your fan contacts. The pricing page doesn’t mention one, so confirm before you close anything.
  2. List every content block and affiliate link on the mini-site, with where each one points.
  3. Keep the original files, prices and descriptions for each digital product so you can list it again.
  4. Tell any brand you are working with about the new link before you change it.
  5. Change the link in your bio, then cancel Pro if you pay for it.
  6. If you set up a custom domain on Pro, point it at the new page.

What it costs

At the time of writing, Komi’s Starter plan is free and Pro is listed at $16 a month, next to a crossed-out $20 and a note that annual billing saves 20%. Pro’s main selling point is the 0% fee, and it is a cheap way to get one:

Plan with a 0% sales feePrice at the time of writingAlso included
Komi Pro$16 a month, as listedEmail campaigns, Meta Pixel, custom domain, no Komi branding
Beacons Creator Plus$30 a month or $300 a yearUnlimited emails, memberships, courses, order bumps, logo removal
hoo.be Premium$29.99 a monthUp to 5 profiles, custom domains, a verification checkmark

A 0% fee only pays off once the fee you would otherwise pay is bigger than the plan. Against a 9% fee, like Beacons’ or hoo.be’s free plans, Komi’s listed $16 a month breaks even at about $178 of sales a month. Komi doesn’t publish Starter’s fee, so you can’t do that sum for Komi itself without asking.

DMFast’s plans are Free, Pro at $9, Growth at $14 and Business at $29 a month. Its Store takes no DMFast fee on sales, though Razorpay’s payment fee applies and the Store works only in India.

Questions people ask

Is Komi free?

Yes. The Starter plan is free and includes a custom mini-site, unlimited content and affiliate links, access to brand deals, unlimited fan contacts and performance analytics. Pro adds the 0% sales fee, email campaigns, a custom domain and branding removal.

What fee does Komi charge on sales?

Pro charges 0% on digital product sales. The pricing page doesn’t state a fee for Starter, so ask Komi before you plan to sell on the free plan.

Does Komi send automatic DMs on Instagram?

Its pricing page lists nothing that answers comments or DMs; fan contacts are collected on the mini-site. For a DM when someone comments a keyword, you would add a comment-to-DM tool.

Can I use Komi and DMFast together?

Yes. Keep the Komi mini-site as your bio link and let DMFast answer comments and DMs. The link card in a DMFast message can point to your Komi page or straight to a product on it.

Can I use my own domain with Komi?

Yes, on Pro, listed at $16 a month at the time of writing. Pro also removes the Komi branding.
