Alternatives to Later’s Linkin.bio
If Later’s Link in Bio page is the only part of Later you use, Linktree, Carrd and Milkshake give you a bio page for free, and Zorcha’s Pro plan can even show your Instagram grid. DMFast fits if you would rather send the link by DM when someone comments. If you schedule posts in Later, the bio page is already paid for, so moving it saves nothing.

Why people look beyond Later (Linkin.bio)
- There is no free plan, only a 14-day trial, and the cheapest plan is US$18.75 a month billed yearly at the time of writing.
- Link in Bio only comes inside a scheduling plan. Even Starter includes 8 social profiles and 30 posts per profile a month, which you don’t need if the bio page is all you use.
- Its pricing page lists no comment-to-DM, keyword or AI replies. DMs and comments go to the Social Inbox, which starts on Growth at US$37.50 a month billed yearly.
- Starter allows one user and keeps up to three months of analytics.

When to stay with Later
Stay if you schedule posts in Later. Link in Bio is part of every plan, so moving the bio link saves nothing while you keep the subscription. Later’s linked posts also work differently from a list of buttons: a visitor taps a post in the grid and lands on that post’s own link, which suits shops and bloggers with one link per post.
Teams have a further reason. From Growth up, the Social Inbox gathers Instagram DMs and comments in one place for people to answer, and the plans include two to four users.
When DMFast fits
We publish this page and make DMFast, so weigh this section with that in mind. DMFast fits when the point of linked posts was getting people from a post to a link. Instead of sending them to your bio, it answers in the DMs: someone comments a word, gets a public reply under the comment and a private message, and the link card arrives once they reply.
- It also handles Story replies and mentions on Instagram, keywords sent by DM, and Facebook Page comments and Messenger.
- The free plan covers 100 people a month. Pro removes the cap for $9 a month.
- It doesn’t schedule or publish posts, and its bio page shows links and Store products, not your Instagram grid.
- It works only with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages.
How to switch from Later’s Link in Bio
- Go through your linked posts and note where each one points. Those destinations become your bio links or your DM keywords.
- For posts that still get comments asking for the link, set a keyword on that post. DMFast’s Pro plan can answer older comments, but Instagram only allows a private reply within 7 days of a comment.
- Make sure you have the email addresses your Link in Bio form collected before your plan ends.
- Later shows its prices for yearly billing, so if you pay yearly, time the move for the end of the paid year.
- Replace the link in your Instagram bio, then the old link in any Story highlights or on other profiles.
What it costs
At the time of writing, Later lists Starter at US$18.75 a month, Growth at US$37.50 and Scale at US$82.50, all billed yearly: US$225, US$450 and US$990 a year. Each price includes scheduling across many profiles, so set it against other schedulers, not against a bio tool on its own.
If the bio page is all you need, Linktree, Carrd and Milkshake start free. DMFast is free for 100 people a month, and Pro costs $9 a month, or $108 over a year.

Is Later’s Link in Bio free?
No. It comes with every Later plan, and there is no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Starter, the cheapest plan, is US$18.75 a month billed yearly at the time of writing.
What is Linkin.bio?
Linkin.bio is Later’s Link in Bio tool. It turns the link in your bio into a page of linked posts, featured media, banners and affiliate links, and it can collect emails through a form.
Can I keep Later for scheduling and use a different bio link?
Yes. Nothing stops you from scheduling in Later while your bio points to another page. You won’t save money that way, though, because Link in Bio is part of the plan you already pay for.
Does Later send automatic DMs?
Not according to its pricing page, which shows no comment-to-DM, keyword or AI replies. The Social Inbox, from the Growth plan, collects Instagram DMs and comments so your team can answer them by hand.
