Milkshake alternatives for selling and sharing links
The main alternatives to Milkshake are Komi, Beacons, Carrd and Linktree, and the right one depends on why you want to leave. It helps to know what you are leaving: Milkshake keeps 7% to 12% of every sale, and you build the whole site in a phone app.
DMFast publishes this page and is one of the options on it, labelled as ours. Facts about the other products come from their own websites, checked on 6 October 2026.
Why people look beyond Milkshake
- Milkshake keeps a share of each sale on top of Stripe’s processing fee. At the time of writing it is 12% on Free and Lite, 9% on Pro and 7% on Pro+.
- Everything happens in the phone app. The home page promises a site made with “just your phone” and describes no desktop editor, which suits quick edits more than long product descriptions.
- A custom domain and Google Analytics come only with Pro+, at US$99.99 a year.
- Contact forms and mailing lists start on Pro. On Free and Lite you can sell a file, but people who aren’t ready to buy have nowhere to leave an email.
- Paid plans have no free trial and are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, so you pay before you can test Pro’s forms or Meta pixel.
- Sales run through Stripe, and Stripe’s help centre says new sign-ups from Indian businesses are invite-only, so sellers in India may not be able to sell there.

When to stay with Milkshake
Milkshake is built for one job: a small mobile site made on a phone in minutes. Visitors swipe from card to card the way they move through Instagram Stories, and card types such as Links, Top Picks, YouTube and Sell cover most of what sits behind a bio link. If that is the site you want, moving buys you little.
- You sell a few files a month. On the free plan the 12% fee is all you pay Milkshake, so small sales cost little.
- You like the swipe-through format and your followers are used to it.
- You only want the Milkshake branding gone. Lite does that for US$2.99 a month.
- You make changes between posts, on your phone, and never open a laptop for it.
When DMFast fits
DMFast is ours, so read this part with that in mind. It isn’t a site builder. It answers Instagram and Facebook comments and DMs, and it has a link-in-bio page with tracked links. It fits when your sales start in the comments: your caption says “Comment GUIDE and I’ll send it”, DMFast replies under the comment and sends a DM, and once the person answers that first message it sends the link card.
Selling works differently. DMFast’s Store sells digital products, lead magnets and 1-on-1 bookings with no DMFast fee, but only in India, through Razorpay, whose own payment fee still applies. Outside India, keep your shop where it is and use DMFast to put its link in people’s DMs.
- It needs an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page; personal Instagram accounts, WhatsApp, TikTok and Threads aren’t supported.
- The free plan shows a DMFast badge on the bio page. Pro, at $9 a month, removes it.
- It makes a bio page, not a multi-card mobile site like Milkshake’s.
How to switch from Milkshake
Plan to rebuild by hand. Before you change anything, open each card and copy what is on it.
- Save the text, links and images from every card, including Top Picks and any YouTube cards.
- Keep the original files for whatever you sell on a Sell card. You will upload them again in the new store.
- If you set up Pro’s mailing list sync to Google Sheets or Mailchimp, your sign-ups are already there, so export them from that side.
- Build the new page and test every link before you touch your bio.
- Change the link in your Instagram bio, then on your other profiles.
- If you are on Pro+ with a custom domain, point the domain at the new page.
- Cancel the subscription in the App Store or Google Play. Deleting the app doesn’t stop the payments.
Tip: Keep the old site up for a couple of weeks after you swap the link. Story Highlights and older captions may still send people to it, and a dead page wastes those taps.
What it costs
At the time of writing, Milkshake has four plans: Free, Lite at US$2.99 a month, Pro at US$59.99 a year and Pro+ at US$99.99 a year. A lower fee only pays off once you sell enough to cover the plan, so here is the total you would pay Milkshake in a year on each:
| Sales in a year | Free: 12% | Pro: US$59.99 + 9% | Pro+: US$99.99 + 7% |
|---|---|---|---|
| US$500 | US$60 | US$104.99 | US$134.99 |
| US$2,000 | US$240 | US$239.99 | US$239.99 |
| US$5,000 | US$600 | US$509.99 | US$449.99 |
| US$10,000 | US$1,200 | US$959.99 | US$799.99 |
All three meet at about US$2,000 of sales a year. Below that the free plan is cheapest, above it Pro+ is, and Pro is never meaningfully cheaper than both, so buy it for its forms, mailing lists and Meta pixel rather than its fee. The table uses yearly billing (Pro is US$6.99 billed monthly) and leaves out Stripe’s processing fee, which you pay on every plan.
DMFast’s plans run from Free to Business at $29 a month, and Pro at $9 a month removes the badge from the bio page. Store sales in India carry no DMFast fee.
Questions people ask
Can I build a Milkshake site on a computer?
Milkshake’s home page describes building on your phone, in its app, and says no desktop is needed. It doesn’t mention a web editor. If you want to work on a laptop, a browser-based builder such as Carrd is the more natural choice.
How much does Milkshake take from each sale?
At the time of writing, 12% on Free and Lite, 9% on Pro and 7% on Pro+. Stripe’s processing fee comes on top of that share.
Can I sell on Milkshake from India?
Milkshake takes payments through Stripe, and Stripe’s help centre says its services are invite-only in India: businesses there can’t sign up on its website and have to request an invite. Check you can get paid before you build a Sell card.
Does Milkshake reply to Instagram comments or DMs?
Not according to its own pages, which describe a mobile website and say nothing about answering comments or messages. To send a link when someone comments a keyword, you need a comment-to-DM tool alongside it.
Which Milkshake plan removes the branding?
Lite, at US$2.99 a month, removes the Milkshake branding. The fee on sales stays at 12%, so Lite changes how the site looks, not what selling costs.
