Instagram auto-replies for YouTubers
Instagram DM automation lets a YouTuber send the right thing to everyone who comments a word on a clip: the full video, the gear list, the script or the media kit. It answers while you edit, so a Reel comment becomes a viewer on your channel and a brand message becomes a proper enquiry.

Comment words for YouTubers
Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.
- FULLVIDEO
- The whole video behind the clip you posted, opened from a card, for people who only saw thirty seconds of it on Instagram.
- GEAR
- The camera, microphone and light list from your desk tour, with the cheaper swap for each item and what you would buy first.
- SCRIPT
- The written script of this week's upload, with the lines you cut and a note on how long the writing took.
- THUMBNAIL
- A breakdown of the thumbnail you tested in a Story: the two versions, what changed and which one the channel kept.
- PRESETS
- The colour preset you used on the footage, as a download, with a short guide to applying it to phone video.
- COLLAB
- Your media kit for brands and fellow creators: audience split, past partners, formats you offer and how to reach your manager.
- NOTES
- The timestamps and links from a long video as a one-page summary, for people who want the answer without the full runtime.
4 set-ups to try
Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

Thanks for watching the clip. The full video goes into the part this cut skips, including what went wrong the first time. Want it? Brand and collab enquiries by DM

What viewers and brands send a YouTuber in DMs
A channel's audience arrives on Instagram with different questions from the ones in the video comments. Viewers want the thing from the clip, and brands want a way in. Sort messages into what has a fixed answer and what needs you.
| They ask | Send automatically | Answer yourself when |
|---|---|---|
| Where is the full video? | The FULLVIDEO card for that upload | They can't find it on their country's version of the site |
| What camera do you use? | The GEAR list, with the cheaper options | They want to know if a particular model suits their project |
| Can I use your preset or your music? | The PRESETS page with its licence terms in plain words | They want to use something commercially or in a paid project |
| I'd like to sponsor you. | The COLLAB card with the media kit | They name a budget, dates or a product that needs testing first |
| Can you review my channel? | A short note that you can't, with a link to a free guide | It is a friend, a past guest or someone you've promised |
| Can I be in your next video? | Nothing: this one is yours | Always, and ask for an adult's consent if they look under 18 |
Tip: Add a line to the AI reply's business information, if you use it, saying you answer sponsor and appearance requests yourself. The AI then tells people to expect you rather than guessing at a rate.
Posts that move people from Instagram to the channel
- A thirty-second cut of the best moment, with FULLVIDEO in the caption and on the screen. End on the question the full video answers.
- A desk or studio tour with GEAR. Shoot it in the room you really film in, since viewers compare it with the video.
- A two-version thumbnail Story with a poll, then THUMBNAIL in the reply prompt.
- A behind-the-scenes Reel of the edit, with PRESETS for the colour work and NOTES for the summary of a long upload.
- A pinned post for brands that reads COLLAB, so enquiries start in one place rather than in random threads.
Upload day matters more than the calendar. Put the word live before you publish and test it by commenting from a second account, since comments from your own account don't trigger a reply. FULLVIDEO can also appear in ordinary comments, so set it on the one post it belongs to.
From a sponsor message to a booked slot
- The COLLAB auto-reply asks which brand and what product, then sends the media kit.
- Check the brand's account and last posts yourself. Reply personally with a rate for the format they want.
- Use the single reminder for anyone who opened the media kit and went quiet.
- Keep a simple list of enquiries outside Instagram, since a thread can sink below newer messages within a day.
Selling a course or a preset pack from India? The DMFast store can sell it as a digital product, give away a lead magnet for an email and take bookings for 1-on-1 calls, with payments through Razorpay and no DMFast fee on sales. Elsewhere, point the card at your own checkout.
Rules and risks to know first
- Sponsored and affiliate content must be labelled, and the rules differ by country and by platform. Check both before a gear list carries paid links, and say so on the page.
- Music in a Reel often has different licence terms from music in a long video. Check what you used before you post the clip.
- If your channel is aimed at children, extra rules on collecting data apply in many countries. Don't collect emails or phone numbers on those channels.
- Instagram allows one private reply per comment, within 7 days, and an account can send at most 750 private replies an hour. DMFast stays under 700 and queues the rest.
- Going live on Instagram to premiere a video? Comments made during a Live can be answered only while it is still on, so set the word up before you start.
Messages to copy
Questions people ask
Can the first DM include the link to my video?
Not when someone comments. Instagram allows only plain text in the first message to a commenter, so the first DM asks them to reply. Once they do, the card with the link to your video follows straight away. Story replies and DMs work differently because the person wrote first.
Does it send messages when I upload a new video?
No, it only answers people who comment, reply or message you. Official tools don't allow mass DMs to followers. Post the upload as a Reel or Story with a word, and everyone who answers gets the link.
Does it work with comments on YouTube itself?
No. DMFast works with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages. YouTube comments, TikTok and WhatsApp are outside it, so the word has to be used on your Instagram or Facebook posts.
Is my creator account good enough?
Yes. A Creator or Business account both work, and switching from a personal account is free in Instagram's settings. It doesn't change your followers, and personal accounts can't use the messaging tools at all.
A Reel of mine went viral before I set this up. Can I still reply?
If the comments are under 7 days old, paid plans can go back over them, because that is the window Meta allows for a private reply. Older comments can't get one, so set the word up before the next post.
