Instagram auto-replies for micro-influencers
A micro-influencer gets two kinds of messages at once: followers asking where an outfit came from, and brands asking what a post costs. Comment-to-DM sends each the right thing, from product links to a media kit, while you film. Prices and deals still need you.

Comment words for micro-influencers
Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.
- LINKS
- Every product from the Reel in one list, with the affiliate links marked, so nobody has to scroll your comments hunting for the jacket.
- CODE
- The discount code from a brand partnership and the date it stops working, sent to people who reply to your Story.
- RATES
- How you work with brands: the formats you offer, your usual turnaround and a media kit, without a price typed into an automatic message.
- MEDIAKIT
- Your current media kit for brands who ask in a comment or a DM: audience split by country and age, past partners and your contact email.
- COLLAB
- A short questionnaire reply for any brand that writes, asking for the product, the deadline and what they want made, before you spend time on it.
- STARTER
- A guide for followers who ask how you got your first brand deal: building a first rate card and what to show a brand.
4 set-ups to try
Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

Brand questions that arrive in your DMs
RATESThanks for getting in touch. Which brand are you with, and what would you like me to make: a Reel, a set of Stories or a single post? Reply and I'll send my media kit and how I work with brands.Media kit and how I workOpen media kitAdd COLLAB, PARTNERSHIP and PAID to the same auto-reply. Brand managers write in working hours across time zones. The reply tells them how you work and asks for the brief, and the price stays with you.

The DM keeps the code and the end date in one place for people who watch late, and the first question tells you if a newcomer is likely to buy.

What followers and brands each ask a micro-influencer
There is no official line for “micro”: the word is usually used for accounts somewhere between a few thousand and around a hundred thousand followers. At that size you often handle brand enquiries yourself, in the same inbox as follower questions. Some of those answers never change. Others involve money and need you.
| They ask | Send automatically | Answer yourself when |
|---|---|---|
| Where is that top from? | The LINKS card, affiliate links marked | It was gifted and is no longer sold, or it was a second-hand find |
| What's your discount code? | The CODE card with the end date | The code has ended and they ask whether you can get another |
| How much for a post? | The RATES card with your media kit, and no figure in the message | Always: the price depends on usage, exclusivity and deadline |
| We'd love to send you free product | The COLLAB questions: brand, product, deadline | You are deciding whether gifting alone is worth the work |
| Pay a fee to join our creator programme | Nothing | Always: don't pay, and never share your login. Report the account |
| How do I get brand deals? | The STARTER guide | They send their profile and ask what you would change |
Tip: On the Growth and Business plans, AI replies answer other messages using only the information you write. Leave your rates out of it and add a line saying pricing is quoted personally, so the AI passes price questions to you instead of guessing a number.
Posts that earn comments, and the word for each
- A get-ready-with-me Reel with LINKS for the full product list. Say in the caption which items were gifted.
- A haul filmed in the room where you actually get dressed, with LINKS and the real price of each piece.
- A Story announcing a brand's sale, with CODE in the sticker text and the end date on screen.
- A talk-to-camera Reel on how you made your first rate card, with STARTER for the template.
- A post thanking a brand for a long partnership, with MEDIAKIT for brands who want to see how you work.
- A before-you-collab carousel on warning signs in a first message, with COLLAB so real brands know where to start.
Brands tend to plan around sale events, holidays and launch seasons, so enquiries bunch up in the weeks before them. Set the words live early, and test each one by commenting from a second account, as your own comments won't trigger the reply.
Handling brand enquiries without losing the good ones
- The first DM asks for the brand name and the format. That tells you in one glance whether it's a real campaign or a mass message.
- The card opens your media kit. DMFast doesn't negotiate or hold dates, so the media kit should say how to book you.
- Look up the brand's own account before you reply. Research in DMFast can read any public Instagram account, so you can check how they post and how real their comments look.
- Switch on the one reminder for brands who went quiet after the media kit. Marketing teams often wait for sign-off.
- Quote the price yourself, in writing, with the usage and exclusivity you are offering.
Influencing from India? The DMFast store can sell a paid guide or template as a digital product, give a free one for an email address and take free or paid 1-on-1 calls, with payments through Razorpay. Creators elsewhere link their own shop or booking page.
Disclosure, scams and other things to watch
- Gifted products, paid posts and affiliate links usually all need to be labelled as advertising. The rules differ by country, so read your regulator's guidance for creators and use Instagram's paid partnership label where it applies.
- Don't repeat a brand's claims about results (clearer skin, weight loss) unless you have been given proof you can show. Health and money claims are regulated in many places.
- A message that asks for payment, a login code or a “verification fee” before a deal is a scam. The automated reply should never ask for any of these.
- A commenter gets one private reply for each comment, and Meta only allows it for 7 days afterwards. Reels that blow up after a week stay unanswered, so set the word up when you post.
- Keep codes current. A DM that sends an expired code is worse than none, so edit the card when a partnership ends.

Questions people ask
Can the auto-reply quote my rates to a brand?
It can if you type a price into it, but it is usually better not to. Rates depend on usage, exclusivity and deadline, and a number sent before anyone has described the job ends up either too low or too high. Send the media kit and ask for the brief instead.
Do I have to say a link is an affiliate link in the DM?
Advertising rules in many countries expect a clear disclosure wherever you promote something you earn from. They differ by country, so check yours. Saying so in the public reply and again in the DM is a simple habit that covers both places a follower sees.
Do I need a Creator account, or does Business work too?
Either works. DMFast needs a professional Instagram account, Creator or Business, and doesn't work with a personal account. Switching is free in Instagram's settings. Many influencers choose Creator because the profile is built around personal accounts and content.
People are commenting LINKS on a Reel from last week. Can they still get the DM?
Yes, as long as the comment is under 7 days old. On the paid plans, DMFast can go back over older comments within that window. A comment older than 7 days can no longer receive a private reply, so those followers need a pinned comment or a Story instead.
Will it reply when a brand tags me in a Story?
Yes, Story mentions can trigger a reply on Instagram, so a brand that tags you can be sent the same media kit questions as a DM. It is worth checking each mention yourself, since a tag from a brand can also be a campaign you want to join.
