Instagram auto-replies for UGC creators

UGC creators make videos and photos that brands post as their own, so the Instagram account is mostly a portfolio. Comment-to-DM can answer a brand's first questions about packages, turnaround and usage, and send beginners a starter guide. You still agree every job yourself.

Comment words for UGC creators

Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.

PACKAGES
What each package holds: number of videos, hook variations, revisions and delivery format, with how pricing is built.
USAGE
How usage rights work in your packages: organic use only, paid ads, and how the time limit changes the price.
TURNAROUND
How many days from brief to first cut, how rush jobs are handled and what you need from the brand before you start.
BRIEF
Your brief form: product, target buyer, claims to include or avoid, format, deadline and where the video will run.
SAMPLE
A sample video for the brand's category, such as skincare or snacks, sent to people who want to see how your style fits their product.
START
A beginner's guide for people asking how to become a UGC creator: first three sample videos and a simple pitch.
HOOKS
A list of opening lines for the first three seconds of a product video, sorted by category.

4 set-ups to try

Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

  • Package details from a what-3-videos-include Reel

    Someone comments on your post

    PACKAGES

    Public reply under their comment

Thanks! Package details are in your DMs 🎬

    First DM (plain text)

Thanks for the comment. What are you selling, and have you worked with a creator before? Reply and I'll send what my packages include and how I price them.Yes pleasePackages and how I priceSee packages

A Reel that unpacks one client package shows brands what they'd get. The product tells you which category sample to send, and the second question separates first-timers, who need rights explained, from teams that already have a process.

  • Usage-rights questions in DMs

USAGEHappy to explain. Will the videos stay on your own page only, or do you plan to run them as paid ads too? Reply and I'll send how usage rights work in my packages.Usage rights, explainedRead the guide

Whether a video runs as an ad, and for how long, is usually the biggest factor in what a creator charges. Add RIGHTS, LICENSE and ADS to the same auto-reply so brands who phrase it differently get the same answer.

Nice to see you starting out. Have you filmed a product video before, or would this be your first? Reply and I'll send the starter guide with the three samples I'd make first.Yes pleaseStarter guide: your first three samplesGet the guide

Tutorial Reels draw more would-be creators than brands. Giving beginners their own word keeps your brand enquiries separate, and the guide is the right place to offer a paid course or template if you sell one.

  • Brief form for people who reply to an availability Story

    Replied to your story

BRIEFThanks for replying. Which product is the video for, and when do you need it by? Reply and I'll send the brief form so I know what to film.Brief formOpen the form

A Story saying you have room for two new brands this month gets answers from teams with a launch date in mind. The deadline is the fact that decides whether you can say yes, so it is asked for first.

Freebies worth commenting for

  • A list of 25 opening lines for the first three seconds of a product video, sorted by category
  • A one-page guide to usage rights: organic use, paid use, exclusivity and how time limits change a price
  • A shot list for a product demo: unboxing, texture close-up, in-use shot, reaction and a closing line
  • A checklist for filming a first sample with a phone, from window light to clean audio
  • A rate worksheet that adds filming time, editing time, revisions and usage into one quote
  • A pitch tracker with brand, date sent, reply and follow-up date
  • A list of terms to look for in a first job agreement, with a note that it is not legal advice

What brands and beginners each ask a UGC creator

Most of your followers are other creators, and most of the people who pay you never follow you at all. They find the portfolio, send one message and leave. A fast, specific answer is often what decides whether the message becomes a job.

They askSend automaticallyAnswer yourself when
How much for one video? The PACKAGES card with what each tier containsThey want a custom number of videos or several products
Can we run it as an ad?The USAGE cardThey ask for unlimited or permanent use, which changes the price
How fast can you deliver? The TURNAROUND cardThey need it for a launch date you can't meet
Can you send the raw footage?Nothing: say you'll replyAlways: many creators price raw files separately
We can't pay, but you get free product and exposureNothingAlways: whether a gifted-only job is worth it is your call
How do I become a UGC creator? The START guideThey share their samples and want feedback

Tip: Don't let the automation quote a price for a job it can't see. Put package prices on the card page, where you can change them, and keep the first message a question about the product and deadline.

Posts that earn comments, and the word for each

  • A before-and-after of the same product shot with a weak hook and a strong one, with HOOKS for the list.
  • A Reel unpacking what three videos includes for a small brand, with PACKAGES for the details.
  • A single sample ad for a skincare or snack product, with SAMPLE for a version in the brand's own category.
  • A talk-to-camera piece on what “usage rights” means in plain words, with USAGE for the full guide.
  • A day in editing, showing how you cut a 20-second video, with START for the beginner guide.
  • A Story saying how many client slots are open this month, with BRIEF in the sticker.

Check your agreement before you post a client's video on your own page. Some brands ask you to wait until their launch, or to tag them, and a few don't allow portfolio use at all. If you can't show a job, film a sample for a product you bought yourself.

From a comment to a booked job

  1. The first DM asks for the product and the deadline. Those two facts tell you whether you can fit the job in.
  2. The card opens your packages page or brief form. DMFast doesn't hold your diary or send contracts, so say clearly on the page how a booking is confirmed.
  3. Offer the hooks list or the shot list for an email. The CSV export gives you a list of brands and beginners to tell when you open new slots.
  4. Use the single reminder for people who asked about packages and then went quiet. Marketing teams often wait for a budget decision.
  5. Reply yourself the same day to anyone who gives a launch date. A date inside a month is the clearest sign of a real job.

A UGC creator in India can use the DMFast store to sell a template pack as a digital product, give a hooks list away for an email and take paid 1-on-1 calls from beginners, with payments through Razorpay. The brand jobs themselves are agreed and paid your own way.

Disclosure, claims and getting paid

  • If a brand's video appears on your page as an ad or a partnership, it usually needs to be labelled. Advertising rules differ by country, so read your regulator's guidance.
  • Don't write or film health or money claims the brand hasn't backed with proof. You may be the face of the video, and in many countries the person making the claim shares the risk.
  • A job that asks you to pay first, or to deposit part of a cheque and send money on, is a scam. An automated reply should never ask for either.
  • A written agreement should say what you deliver, how many revisions, what usage the fee covers and when you are paid. A template is a start; a lawyer in your country can check a contract.
  • Meta lets you reply privately once per comment, for 7 days. A brand that comments on an old Reel after that gets no private reply, so keep a pinned comment with your email.

Questions people ask

Should the automatic message show my prices?

Put them on the card page, not in the chat. The first message to a commenter can't hold a link anyway, and prices on a page are easier to change. The message itself should ask about the product and the deadline, which are what you need before quoting.

Can I use this to pitch brands that haven't contacted me?

No. DMFast answers people who comment on your posts, reply to your Stories or message you first. Sending a first message to strangers or mass DMs isn't possible with Instagram's official tools, so pitching stays a manual job, using your own emails or messages.

My account is only a portfolio. Does that matter?

No, but it has to be a professional account. DMFast works with Creator and Business accounts and not with personal ones. Switching is free in Instagram's settings, and your posts and followers carry over.

How do I keep beginners from clogging the brand enquiries?

Give each audience its own word. Brands get PACKAGES or USAGE, and beginners get START. Each word starts a different conversation with a different card, so you can read the brand ones first and leave the guide to run itself.

Will a brand mind getting a scripted first reply?

A short question about the product and the deadline usually reads as organised, not robotic. Keep it one question long, write it as you would, and follow it yourself once they answer. The card is there to save a back-and-forth, not to replace your reply.
