Instagram auto-replies for gyms
Most gym DMs ask the same four things: how much is a membership, can I try it first, what time does the class start and how do I freeze it. Comment-to-DM answers them at any hour and keeps the front desk free. Below are the words, four set-ups, freebies and what to check.

Comment words for gyms
Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.
- TRIAL
- How to try the gym: a free day pass or a week, what it includes, the hours it can be used and what to bring to the first visit.
- PRICES
- Membership types with the monthly cost, the joining fee if there is one, the contract length and what each tier gives access to.
- TIMETABLE
- This week's class timetable by day and time, the instructor, how to reserve a spot and the late-cancel rule for classes.
- TOUR
- How to book a look around: the days and times a staff member is free, how long it takes and what to ask at the end.
- HOURS
- Opening times by day, the hours for staffed and unstaffed access, and any hours set aside for women-only or quiet training.
- PT
- Personal training: the trainers, a taster session, session prices, packages and how to book a first consultation.
- FREEZE
- How to freeze or cancel a membership: the notice period, any fee, who to contact and what happens to a prepaid month.
- STUDENT
- Student, youth and corporate rates: what proof is needed, the monthly price and the term dates the offer is valid for.
4 set-ups to try
Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

Your trial pass details are in your DMs 💪First DM (plain text)
Good call, the floor is easiest to judge in person. What times can you usually train, and is there something in particular you want to do, like weights, classes or swimming? Reply and I'll send how to claim your pass.Yes pleaseClaim a free trial passGet my passA trial is the main way a gym wins a member, and the training time shows whether the pass should be for the peak evening or a quiet morning. Their goal tells the team what to show on the first visit.
Membership prices from a joining-offer Story

PRICESThanks for asking. Would you train mostly alone or also come to classes, and are you hoping for a monthly rolling plan or a longer contract? Reply and I'll send the memberships that fit.Membership options and pricesSee the plansA price list means little without a clear idea of what the person wants. Classes versus floor and rolling versus fixed pick the two plans worth showing first, and a Story reply shows they already follow you.
Class sign-ups from a timetable post

TIMETABLEPublic reply under their comment
This week's classes are in your DMs 🗓️First DM (plain text)
Nice, we have something most days. Which type of class do you enjoy, such as spin, strength, a mobility class or a boxing session, and are mornings or evenings easier? Reply and I'll send the timetable.Yes pleaseClass timetable and bookingSee the classesA timetable has twenty slots a week, and most people care about two. The type and the time of day cut it down, and a class with a waiting list is easy to spot from the answers you get.
Freezing or cancelling from members' DMs
FREEZESorry to hear that. Is this a short break, such as for travel or an injury, or are you thinking of ending your membership? Reply and I'll send the steps and the notice we need.Freeze or cancel a membershipSee the stepsA short break and a cancellation are different outcomes, and a clear freeze option keeps members who would otherwise leave. The answer tells you whether the reply is routine or one a manager should read.
Freebies worth commenting for

- A class guide that explains each class on the timetable and who it suits

- A student or corporate rate sheet for people who sign up with an email
- A quiet-hours chart showing the least busy times of the week for each part of the gym
What people ask a gym in DMs
Gym messages come from three groups: people thinking of joining, members who need something, and people who have decided to leave. The first group asks about price, the trial and hours. The second wants a class spot or a freeze. The third deserves a person. Sort them by word.
| They ask | Send automatically | Reply yourself when |
|---|---|---|
| Can I try it before I join? | The TRIAL pass and how to claim it | They want a trial outside your usual rules |
| How much is it a month? | The PRICES page | They ask for a deal you have not published |
| What time is the spin class? | The TIMETABLE with booking steps | A class has been cancelled or an instructor has changed |
| Are you open on bank holidays? | The HOURS reply with the holiday list | The date is not set yet |
| I have an injury. Can I still train? | A line about booking an induction | Always: a trainer should speak with them |
| How do I cancel? | The FREEZE page with the notice rules | They are upset or the case is a dispute |
Tip: Answer the cancellation question honestly and show the notice period. A member who gets a clear answer is more likely to take a freeze than one who has to chase you.
Posts that earn comments on the gym floor
- A time-lapse of the gym filling up before a class, with TIMETABLE for the week.
- A walk through the floor with new equipment, with TRIAL for a free pass.
- A before-hours cleaning shot of an empty gym, with HOURS for the opening times.
- A trainer demonstrating one lift with a form cue, with PT for a first session.
- A members' milestone board, posted with permission, with a word for joining.
- A Story in the first week of January or September with the joining offer, and PRICES as the reply word.
Gyms have two rushes: January, when people set goals, and September, when students and workers return to a routine. Summer is quieter and a good time for a freeze or an outdoor class. Name the offer's end date in the first message, because an expired deal does more harm than none.
From a comment to a first visit
- The comment starts a DM with a single question about the time they can train, the type of class or the plan they prefer.
- The card opens the pass form, timetable or price page. DMFast does not sign up members, take payment for a membership or read your access system, so a pass is sent from where you run them.
- Switch on email capture, with a phone number if your front desk follows up, for the trial pass and the beginner plan. Export it as a CSV for the front desk.
- Use the reminder for someone who asked for a trial and did not answer, and have your team message people who claimed a pass but did not visit.
Based in India? The DMFast store can sell a digital product such as a training plan, give a free plan for an email and optional phone number, and take paid or free 1-on-1 bookings, such as a first consultation. Payments go through Razorpay with no DMFast fee on sales. Memberships themselves stay on your own billing system.
What a gym should check first
- Health and results. Do not promise weight loss, muscle gain or a medical benefit. Say what the gym offers, not what a person will get from it.
- Cancellation and renewal. Many countries have consumer rules about auto-renewing contracts, cooling-off periods and how a customer can cancel. Check yours, and make sure your reply matches your terms.
- Injuries and medical conditions. A reply must not give advice about a condition. Send people to an induction or a health questionnaire and let a trainer take it from there.
- Photos and video. Members on the floor are on camera. Get consent for any post that shows a face, and keep changing rooms out of every shot.
- Under-18s. Rules on minimum age, supervision and parental consent vary by gym and country. Put the age policy in the reply.
- Limits. One private reply per comment, inside 7 days, with an account cap of 750 an hour. DMFast stays below 700.

Questions people ask
Can it sign someone up for a membership?
No. DMFast does not take memberships or payments, and it does not connect to access control or billing. The first message asks a question, and the card opens your joining page or trial form. In India, the store can take payment for a digital product or a booking.
Can it send a trial pass automatically?
It can send the page or code you set, once the person replies, and collect their email and phone number first. It cannot check whether someone has had a pass before, so your front desk should check when they arrive.
A member messages about cancelling. Should it reply?
Send the steps and the notice period so they have the facts, and flag that a person will follow up. Do not let an automatic reply argue or try to keep them. AI replies, on the Growth and Business plans, use only what you write and should not invent terms.
We run three gym sites. How do I keep them apart?
Give each site its own words, such as TRIALNORTH, or run each from its own Instagram account. The Pro plan covers three accounts and Business covers ten. Each first message and card can then name the right address and timetable.
Can I message everyone who claimed a trial and never came?
Not by DM. Automated messages reach only people who wrote to you in the last 24 hours, and mass DMs are not possible with official tools. Use the email and phone number they gave you, with their consent, and ask them to reply with a word.
