Tips before you post

  1. Be specific. Name what the customer did, such as reorder, send a photo, wait for a delayed batch or recommend you to a friend. A thank you with one real detail feels warmer than a generic one.

  2. Ask before you show a customer’s name, face or message. A screenshot of a review is public only if the person posted it publicly, and even then a tag or a request for permission is polite.

  3. Pair the thank you with a photo of something real: the packed parcel, the empty counter at closing, the handwritten note. Stock images work against the message.

  4. Do not turn a thank you into a hidden sales pitch. If you also have an offer, post it separately so the thanks stays sincere.

  5. Reply to the comments under the post. People who write something kind under a thank you post are telling you who your regulars are.

Turn comments into DMs

Ask people to comment THANKS

End your caption with a line like this:

“Comment THANKS and I'll send it to you in a DM.”

What they get

Comment THANKS on a customer thank you post and get a DM with a short personal note, a request for feedback and a link to leave a review.

DMFast answers each comment and sends the DM for you. The first message asks them to reply, then the link follows, because Instagram allows no links in that first message.

Questions people ask

What should I write in a customer thank you caption?

Say thank you in your own voice, name one specific thing customers did, and keep it short. “You reordered, you sent photos, you waited for our delayed batch” is stronger than “Thanks to all our amazing customers.”

How often should I thank customers on Instagram?

Whenever something real has happened: a first order, a milestone, a batch of kind reviews, a busy season. A thank you every day loses meaning, but one after a good moment feels natural.

Can I share a customer’s review in my post?

Ask first, or only share what the customer posted publicly and tag them. Remove any private details like full names, addresses and order numbers before you post a screenshot.

Should I offer a discount in a thank you post?

It is optional. Many businesses keep the thank you separate from offers so it feels genuine, then post any offer another day.
