Tips before you post

  1. Say the start and end time with the time zone in the first line of the caption. 'Ends Sunday at midnight' is clearer than 'ends soon'.

  2. Show the item, not only a graphic that says 'sale'. A photo of the thing people are buying makes more people tap through to the page.

  3. Avoid fake urgency. If a sale is going to be extended, do not say it ends tonight. Followers remember, and trust takes longer to earn than a sale takes to run.

  4. Check the rules where you sell about showing the original price next to the sale price. Some countries require the previous price to be one you really charged.

  5. Use a Story countdown sticker, then ask people to comment a word to get the link. It gives you a list of interested people before the sale starts.

Turn comments into DMs

Ask people to comment SALE

End your caption with a line like this:

“Comment SALE and I'll send it to you in a DM.”

What they get

the direct link to the sale page and a reminder message when the last day arrives.

DMFast answers each comment and sends the DM for you. The first message asks them to reply, then the link follows, because Instagram allows no links in that first message.

Questions people ask

How do I announce a sale on Instagram?

Combine a post, a Story with a countdown sticker and a pinned caption with exact dates. State what is on sale, when it ends and where to go. Repeat the details in Stories each day.

Should I put the discount percentage in the caption?

Yes, when it is true and applies to everything you mention. If the discount varies by item, say 'up to' and make sure some items really reach it. Avoid claims you cannot support.

How often can I run a sale without losing value?

There is no fixed rule, but regular discounts teach customers to wait. Keep sales tied to a clear reason, such as a season change, a stock clear or an anniversary, and give them a firm end date.

Can I send the sale link automatically?

Yes, on an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page. People comment a word such as SALE and get a private message. The first message is plain text, and the link follows once they reply.
