Instagram bios for travel agents
A travel agent’s bio has to say what kind of trips you plan, where you are based and how someone gets a quote. Below are original bios to copy, from one-liners to bios with a clear next step, plus a fill-in formula and tips for the name field, booking enquiries and trust.

Write your own
A bio that works usually has the same few parts. Fill them in for yours, or start from the example.
- Who you are and where you are
- The kind of trips you plan
- Why clients can rely on you
- How to ask for a quote
Worked example
Travel advisor in [city] 📍 Honeymoons and family trips ✈️ One contact from quote to return DM DATES for options

Each part becomes a line of your bio. Nothing you type is uploaded.

Tips for your bio
Put what you do in the name field, for example “Maya | Travel Agent, Honeymoons”. Instagram search reads that line, and it tells a stranger in two seconds that this is a travel business.
If you hold a licence, belong to a trade association or sell protected bookings, name it, because clients do ask. Only state protections you really have, and check the exact wording your regulator expects before you add it.
Choose one specialism for the bio even if you sell everything. “Safari for first-timers” is easier to remember and share than “all travel”, and you can still book other trips when people ask.
Point the link at one place: an enquiry form that asks for dates, budget and number of travellers. That saves a round of questions and gives you what you need to quote.
Pin three posts: a trip you planned, a short explanation of how you work, and a client message you have permission to share. These answer the questions people have before they get in touch.
Use highlights as a tiny brochure: Destinations, How it works, FAQs. Visitors tap through them before they ever send a message.
Questions people ask
What should a travel agent put in their Instagram bio?
The kind of trips you plan, where you are based and how to ask for a quote. Add one line about why people can trust you, such as an association you belong to, if it is true. Keep the rest for your highlights.
Should a travel agent show prices in their bio?
Usually not. Trip prices depend on dates, travellers and season, so a number in a bio can mislead. A better line is something like “Quotes by DM”, which starts a conversation and lets you ask the right questions first.
Do I need a business account as a travel agent?
A professional account is worth switching to. It gives you a category label, a contact button and insights, and it is needed if you want to automate answers to comments and messages later.
How can I get enquiries from my Instagram posts?
End captions with one clear action, such as “DM DATES for options”. Reels of real itineraries tend to start more conversations than photos of beaches, because they show how you work, not just where you can send people.
Can I use a location in my bio if I work from home?
Yes, but use a town or region rather than your street address. Something like “Based in [city], booking worldwide” tells people where you are without giving out your home address.
