Instagram bios for gyms and studios
A gym’s Instagram bio should tell a nervous newcomer what kind of place this is, when it is open and how to try it. Below are original bios for gyms, boutique studios and class-based spaces, plus a fill-in formula and tips on trials, timetables and membership links.

Tips for your bio
Say who the gym is for. “Beginners welcome” or “serious lifters” is the first thing a visitor tries to work out, and people avoid places that look as if they are not for them.
Make the trial the next step. A free class, a day pass or a first induction is a small step for someone nervous, and it gets them through your door sooner than a full membership page.
Pin a post that shows the space, a post that shows the timetable and a post of members at ease. Photos of real people at every level do more for a newcomer than a perfect athlete.
Only post member photos and results with their clear permission, and avoid before-and-after claims about weight or health. They are easy to misread and not every member wants to share.
Put your area in the name field, such as “[Name] Gym | [City]”. People search for a gym near them, and your handle alone may not say where you are.
Keep one link in the bio, pointing to the booking or enquiry page, and update the timetable highlight at the start of every term or season.
Questions people ask
What should a gym put in its Instagram bio?
What kind of gym it is, who it welcomes, when it is open and how to try it. A free trial or induction line works well. Keep prices and the full timetable for your link or highlights.
Should a gym bio mention prices?
Only a single, stable figure, such as a drop-in price. Memberships often change with offers or length of contract. Say “DM PRICE” or link a price page, so the bio never goes out of date.
How do I make a gym feel welcoming in a bio?
Say who you serve and name the barrier: “no judgement”, “beginners welcome”, “small groups”. People who feel nervous look for exactly that kind of wording.
Can I use these bios for a yoga or Pilates studio?
Yes. Swap the lifting lines for your own classes and keep the structure: what you offer, who it suits, the hours and a trial. There is also a separate bios page for yoga teachers and studios.
How can a gym get enquiries from Instagram?
Show real classes in Reels, then end each caption with one action such as “Comment TRIAL for the details”. Reply quickly, because people who ask about a gym are usually comparing two or three at once.
