Instagram auto-replies for career coaches
Instagram DM automation sends a career coach's resume template, interview pack or salary scripts to anyone who comments or messages a word such as RESUME or SALARY. Job seekers often write in a hurry, the night before an interview or the week a layoff is announced, and an instant reply reaches them while there's still time to act.

Comment words for career coaches
Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.
- RESUME
- The one-page resume template from your teardown Reel, in Word and Google Docs, with a checklist of what to cut.
- INTERVIEW
- A bank of common interview questions with a STAR worksheet (situation, task, action, result) for building answers from real examples.
- SALARY
- Scripts for asking for more after an offer and for a raise at review time, including what to say when they call the budget fixed.
- A profile checklist: the headline formula from your carousel, an outline for the About section and the settings worth changing.
- PIVOT
- A transferable-skills worksheet for career changers, worked through for a teacher moving into instructional design.
- GRAD
- A first-job guide for graduates: a resume without full-time experience, where to look, and how to answer “tell me about yourself”.
- SERVICES
- Your paid options as a product carousel: resume review, mock interview and LinkedIn rewrite, each with its price and its own button.
4 set-ups to try
Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.
Resume template from a teardown Reel

RESUMEPublic reply under their comment
Template's in your DMs, good luck with the searchFirst DM (plain text)
Thanks for watching the teardown. Are you applying now or getting ready for later? Reply either way and I'll send the template. It's one page, works in Word and Google Docs, and comes with a checklist of what to cut.Yes pleaseOne-page resume templateGet the templateTeardown Reels can keep collecting comments for months, and Meta's 7-day limit runs from each comment, not from the day you posted, so an old Reel keeps working while the auto-reply is on. Add CV to the same reply: readers in the UK, India and much of Europe often use that word.
Interview pack from a Story, kept private
Replied to your story
INTERVIEWGood luck. The pack has common questions, a STAR worksheet for your answers and five questions to ask at the end. Which round is it, first or final? Tell me here; I answer these myself.Interview prep packGet the packPlenty of people job-hunt while still employed, and a comment under an interview post is visible to any colleague who follows you. A Story reply is seen only by you. Since they wrote first, the pack arrives straight after this message.
Salary scripts when an offer lands
SALARYThanks for messaging. Do you have an offer in hand, or a pay review coming up? The scripts below cover both: what to say after an offer, and how to ask for a raise with evidence. One-to-one negotiation prep is on the same page.Salary negotiation scriptsGet the scriptsOffers often come with a short deadline, so these messages arrive at odd hours. Add RAISE and NEGOTIATE to the same reply, but not OFFER: “do you offer mock interviews?” would trigger it. The details of a particular offer, such as the figure, the market and the company, need your own answer.

Hi, thanks for commenting. The checklist has the headline formula from the carousel, an outline for your About section and the settings worth changing. Shall I send it? If growing your account matters more than collecting emails, turn on “Only send to followers” (Pro and above): the checklist goes out once the person follows you.

What job seekers send a career coach
Messages come in bursts: Sunday evenings, the night before interviews, the week a big employer cuts jobs. Most can get an instant, useful answer. A few need you.
| They write | Auto-reply | Yours to answer |
|---|---|---|
| Can you look at my resume? | SERVICES: the review, its price and how to send it | They want a free opinion; decide your policy once and stick to it |
| Can you write my resume for me? | What your services include, and whether you write or coach | They need it finished this week |
| My interview is tomorrow. Help? | The INTERVIEW pack, at once | They ask for a mock interview tonight |
| How do I explain a gap? | Your career-break guide | The gap involves health or family details |
| Can you get me a job? | Nothing automatic | Always: coaching can improve their odds but never guarantees an offer |
| Do you know the market in my country? | A note on which countries you coach for | Their country's hiring customs are new to you |
Hiring customs differ by country. A US resume usually leaves out a photo and date of birth, while a photo is still common, though optional, on CVs in Germany. If you coach across borders, list the markets you know on your services page.
Posts that bring job seekers in, and the hiring calendar
- A resume teardown, made with the owner's permission and every name, employer and contact detail blurred, ending with RESUME.
- “Tell me about yourself” answered badly, then well, followed the next day by a Story offering INTERVIEW.
- A salary negotiation role-play with you playing both sides, and SALARY in the caption as the word to DM you.
- A headline before-and-after carousel with LINKEDIN.
- A client's career change, told with their consent, ending with PIVOT.
- A Reel on writing a first resume without full-time experience, posted in graduation season, with GRAD.
Job hunting has its own calendar. Graduates look for first roles in spring and early summer. January is when many people decide this is the year they move. In India, many companies run appraisals soon after the financial year starts in April, which is when SALARY gets the most use. When a large employer announces layoffs, post that week, with RESUME and LINKEDIN already switched on.
From free template to paid session
- A free template or checklist starts the conversation: RESUME, LINKEDIN, INTERVIEW or GRAD.
- Ask for an email on the bigger freebies, so you can invite people to your next workshop. Throwaway addresses are rejected, and the addresses export as a CSV.
- SERVICES sends a product carousel instead of a single card: resume review, mock interview and LinkedIn rewrite, each with its price and button. A carousel holds up to ten.
- Ask for resumes by email or through your own form, not in Instagram DMs.
- After someone lands a role, ask whether you may share their story. A case study told with permission does more than any discount.
Coaching job seekers in India? The DMFast store can sell resume templates as digital products, give the interview pack as a lead magnet in exchange for an email, plus a phone number if you want it, and take paid mock-interview bookings, with Razorpay handling payment and no DMFast fee on sales. Coaches elsewhere link the card to their usual checkout.
Privacy and promises
- Resumes are full of personal data: phone numbers, addresses, work history. Keep them in your email or file storage, delete what you no longer need, and check the privacy rules where you work.
- Blur everything identifying before a teardown goes on your grid, and get the owner's OK in writing first.
- Don't promise a job, a number of interviews or a salary figure. Describe what each session covers instead.
- If you also recruit and employers pay you, say so, so clients know where you stand.
- Instagram allows one private reply per comment, within 7 days of it, and caps each account at 750 an hour. DMFast stays under 700 and queues the rest, so a layoff-week Reel still gets answered in order.

Questions people ask
Should I review resumes inside Instagram DMs?
Better not. Resumes hold phone numbers, addresses and work history, and a DM thread is hard to keep tidy or clear out later. Let the SERVICES reply explain how to send a resume by email or through your form.
Will people see that someone asked for interview help?
A comment is public; the DM that follows is private. For anything a person might not want their manager to see, offer a Story reply or a word to send by DM, both of which only you can read.
Can the automation tell someone whether their resume is good?
No. Keyword replies send the same message to everyone. AI replies, on the Growth and Business plans, answer only from the business information you write, so they can explain your services and prices and will say someone will follow up on anything else. Feedback on a resume is your job.
Can I send different templates to US and UK readers?
If your templates differ, yes: give RESUME and CV their own auto-replies, each with its own card. One auto-reply sends one message, so splitting by word is the simple way to serve a US-style resume and a UK-style CV.
Does it work with LinkedIn?
No. DMFast works with Instagram professional accounts and Facebook Pages only, so LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok and Threads messages aren't covered. You can still put your LinkedIn profile on the DMFast link-in-bio page.
