Instagram auto-replies for dropshipping stores
A dropshipping store lives on product videos, so the comments are a wall of “link?”, “how long is delivery?” and “is it real?”. Comment-to-DM answers them at once, and tells buyers the truth about shipping before they ask. Below: words that fit, four set-ups, freebies and what to check about delivery claims.

Comment words for dropshipping stores
Ask people to comment one word in your caption or video. Each word sends something different.
- LINK
- The product page for the item in the video, after asking which colour or size, so the buyer lands on the right variant and not the shop home.
- TRACK
- How to follow a parcel: the tracking page, why the first status can take days to appear and when to write to you.
- SHIPPING
- Honest delivery windows by country, how long the supplier takes to dispatch and whether duties or import tax may apply on arrival.
- REVIEWS
- Photos and written reviews from real customers of that product, for people who ask whether it works or is worth the price.
- SALE
- The current discount for people who reply to a flash-sale Story: the price, the end time and how the code is used at checkout.
- RETURNS
- Your return and refund terms in plain words: the window, who pays postage, and the photo proof you need for damage.
- SIZE
- The size or dimension chart for the product, with measurements, so buyers can check against something they own.
- RESTOCK
- A sign-up for items sold out at your supplier, with when you expect stock back and a note if it may not return.
4 set-ups to try
Each one shows the conversation it creates. After a comment, the first DM is plain text, as Meta requires, and the link follows once they answer.

Thanks for the interest. Which colour or size would you like, and where would it ship to? Asking the destination first lets the answer include the real delivery window, which filters out buyers who would later cancel.

Asking what worries them tells you what to add to the page, and real customer photos do more than the polished video.

Tracking help for “where is my order?”
TRACKSorry for the wait. Roughly when did you order? Reply with the date and I'll send how to track your parcel and what to do if it has not moved.Track your orderOpen trackingWith a supplier shipping direct, many parcels sit with no movement for the first days. The date tells you whether the order is late or only new, and a clear guide answers those who are just worried.

The questions that fill a dropshipping inbox
Buyers of a dropshipped product are cautious. They have not met the brand, the parcel travels from another country, and the page may be new. Questions are about trust and time.
| They ask | Send automatically | Answer yourself when |
|---|---|---|
| Where can I buy this? | The LINK reply with the right variant | They want a quantity price or a bulk order |
| How long is delivery? | The SHIPPING windows for their country | The order is later than the stated window |
| Is it a scam? | The REVIEWS pack and your returns terms | They ask for proof of a specific order: handle it personally |
| Where is my order? | The TRACK guide | There is no movement past the window or the parcel is marked lost |
| Will I pay customs? | A general note that duties or import tax may apply | They ask for an exact amount: you can only say it depends on the country |
| Can I send it back? | The RETURNS terms | The item is damaged or wrong: ask for photos and decide |
Tip: Put the delivery window in the first message in days, and keep it slightly longer than the supplier says. A parcel that arrives early earns a good review. One that arrives late starts a dispute.
Posts that earn “link?” comments, and what to say next
- A short product demo that shows the item working in the first three seconds, with LINK as the word to comment.
- A video of a customer unboxing your product, filmed by them with permission, with REVIEWS for more.
- A Story with a countdown and a price, with SALE in the text as the word to reply.
- A size or measurements comparison next to a coin or a phone, with SIZE for the full chart.
- A Story announcing that a sold-out item is coming back, with RESTOCK to join the list.
- A before-you-buy post on how long delivery takes, with SHIPPING, because stating it plainly builds trust.
A product that goes viral can bring thousands of comments in a day. Instagram's cap is 750 private replies an hour, and DMFast stays under 700 by queuing the rest, so buyers further down the thread wait a little rather than being dropped.
Turning a comment into a trusted sale
- The comment starts a DM that asks for a variant and a country. That is already more attention than most stores give.
- The card sends the product page and the delivery window. If someone doubts, REVIEWS sends real customer photos.
- Ask for an email on the first-order discount card. Followers who have not bought yet can be told about the next product.
- When a product is out of stock at the supplier, change the message and the card at once. Selling an item you cannot ship is the fastest way to a wave of refunds.
Based in India? The DMFast store sells digital products, such as a product guide or a template, gives free lead magnets for an email, and takes 1-on-1 bookings, with payments through Razorpay. The physical products themselves sell from your own shop.
What to check before you scale a dropshipping store
- Delivery claims. Say what the supplier actually does, and avoid promising delivery dates you do not control. Misleading delivery times are a common source of complaints and chargebacks.
- Consumer rights. Many countries give online buyers a right to cancel or return within a set period, and some require you to be clear about who is selling. The rules differ by country, so check each market you sell to.
- Duties and taxes. Parcels from abroad may attract import duty or VAT on arrival. Say so in the SHIPPING message in general terms, and do not quote amounts.
- Product claims. Do not say a product treats, cures or fixes a health problem. Say what it is and what it does, and leave out anything you cannot prove.
- Brands and fakes. Do not sell items that copy a protected brand or show a famous name on them. Platforms remove these and owners can claim.
- Product videos from suppliers or other creators may be copyrighted, so check you can use them before you post.

Questions people ask
Will the auto-reply tell people when their parcel is delayed?
It sends the tracking guide when someone asks. It cannot see your orders or your supplier's system, so it does not know which parcel is late. Keep the TRACK reply honest about how long statuses take, and handle real delays yourself in the inbox.
A video of mine has 4,000 comments saying link. What happens?
Each person who comments the word gets one private reply, within 7 days of the comment. Instagram allows 750 private replies an hour per account, and DMFast stays under 700 and queues the rest. Promo-spam comments are skipped, and nobody gets the same reply twice in a day.
Can I use DMFast with a Shopify store?
The card can open any product page, including one on Shopify, but there is no integration: DMFast does not read your catalogue or orders. DMFast also has product carousels, but they are not a live feed of your Shopify catalogue.
Is it allowed to send a link in the first message?
Not to someone who has only commented. Instagram allows plain text in the first message, so ask a question, such as which colour or country. Once they reply, the card with the link can follow. People who reply to a Story or message you first get it straight away.
Can it handle refund requests?
It can send your returns terms and ask for the order date and a photo. The decision and the refund are yours, made in your shop and payment system. Keep a human in the loop for anything involving money, and answer refund requests quickly to avoid disputes.
