TikTok fonts to copy and paste
TikTok fonts are styled letters you can paste into your TikTok name, bio, captions and comments: type below and copy the version you like. They aren’t fonts from TikTok, and there’s nothing to install. Each letter is swapped for a look-alike Unicode character, such as 𝗙 for F, so the style travels with the text wherever you paste it.

Where they work
| Where | Works? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok username | Doesn't work | Usernames take only letters, numbers, underscores and periods, and can’t end with a period, so styled characters are refused. Put the style in your name instead. |
| TikTok name | Works | The name on your profile accepts styled letters. Keep the words people know you by easy to read, since that’s what they type when they look you up. |
| Bio | Works | A styled heading or one decorated line looks good here. The bio is short, so leave the line that says what you post in plain letters. |
| Captions, comments and DMs | Partly | Bold, cursive and bubble letters show almost everywhere. Styles built from rarer characters, such as letters borrowed from other alphabets, can turn into empty boxes on older phones. |
| Hashtags and @mentions | Doesn't work | #𝗳𝘆𝗽 and #fyp look alike but are different strings of characters, so the styled one isn’t the tag people search for or tap. A styled @mention won’t link to anyone either. |
| Text on the video | Works | Pasted characters work in a text box, but the editor also has its own fonts for on-screen words. Try those first; pasted styles matter most where TikTok offers no font menu. |
TikTok’s own fonts stop at the video
When you add text to a video, TikTok’s editor lets you pick a font, a colour and a background for the words on screen. Those choices live only inside the editor. Your name, bio, captions and comments have no font menu at all: TikTok shows them in its standard app typeface, whatever you type.
That gap is what copy-and-paste letters fill. 𝗙 is a separate character from F rather than a formatting setting, so TikTok has to display it as written. The same characters paste into most other apps too, which means a styled line made here can be reused on your other profiles.
Five styles that suit a TikTok profile
| Style | “Follow for part 2” | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Bold | 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮 | The first words of a caption, where a hook has to land fast. The digit turns bold too. |
| Cursive | ℱℴ𝓁𝓁ℴ𝓌 𝒻ℴ𝓇 𝓅𝒶𝓇𝓉 2 | A name or a sign-off. The 2 stays plain, since Unicode has no cursive digits. |
| Bubble | Ⓕⓞⓛⓛⓞⓦ ⓕⓞⓡ ⓟⓐⓡⓣ ② | One playful word. Numbers from 0 to 9 get circles of their own. |
| Sparkles | ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* Follow for part 2 *:・゚✧*:・゚✧ | Framing a line while the words inside stay ordinary letters. |
| Small caps | ꜰᴏʟʟᴏᴡ ꜰᴏʀ ᴘᴀʀᴛ 2 | A quieter second line under a bold one, or a short bio tagline. |
Of the five, only the sparkles frame leaves your letters untouched, which makes it the safe pick when the words need to be found or read aloud. The other four replace every letter, so use them on the parts of your profile that are decoration rather than information.
Captions, hashtags and TikTok search
People find videos by typing plain words into TikTok search. If the key words of your caption are styled, search may not connect them with what people type, and a styled hashtag becomes a separate tag from the one you meant.
A pattern that keeps the look without hiding your words: style the first few words, then switch to plain text for the description, the keywords and the tags. For example:
- 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮 𝗶𝘀 𝘂𝗽: the sourdough fix I wish I’d known sooner #sourdough #baking
- Keep @mentions plain, or they won’t link to the account you meant.
- Don’t style a product name, place or recipe you want people to search for later.
Text-to-speech and screen readers
TikTok’s text-to-speech reads the words in a text box aloud in a synthetic voice. Voice engines are built for ordinary words, so styled characters may be skipped, spelled out or read as symbol names. If a text box is going to be spoken, type it in plain letters and play the preview before you post.
Screen readers on phones run into the same problem in captions and comments: many read styled letters one at a time or not at all. A bold hook followed by a plain sentence keeps the meaning available to everyone, including viewers who listen rather than read.
Adding styled text to TikTok from your phone
- Type your text in the box at the top of this page and pick a style.
- Press and hold the styled version, then tap Copy.
- In TikTok, open your profile, tap Edit profile and choose Name or Bio. For a caption, paste it on the screen where you write the post.
- Paste, check how it looks, and save.
- View your profile on another phone, or ask a friend to, to make sure no letters turned into boxes.
Tip: If a style breaks on a friend’s phone, switch to bold or cursive. Both are built mostly from a part of Unicode added in 2001, so nearly every current device has a font for them.
Questions people ask
Can I change the font of my TikTok username?
No. TikTok usernames allow only letters, numbers, underscores and periods, so the @handle can’t be bold or cursive. Put the styled version in your name field, which accepts these characters, and keep the handle simple enough to type.
Will people still find me if my TikTok name is styled?
They can always find you by your @username, because it’s plain text. A styled name may not match what people type in search, so keep part of the name plain, or repeat it in plain letters in your bio.
Why does my styled bio look fine to me but broken to a friend?
Each phone draws text with its own fonts. If your friend’s phone has no font for a character, it shows an empty box or a question mark in its place. Bold, cursive and bubble letters are the safest; boxed capitals and letters borrowed from other alphabets fail most often on older phones.
How do I change the font of text on a TikTok video?
Add text in the editor and choose one of the fonts the text tool offers; you can change the colour and add a background there too. Those fonts only exist inside the video. For your caption or bio, generate styled letters here and paste them in.
