Tips before you post

  1. Check the venue's bag and camera rules before you leave. Many arenas and stadiums limit bag sizes or ask for clear bags, and many ban cameras with detachable lenses; the policy is usually on the event or venue page.

  2. For photos, tap the stage on your screen to focus, then drag the exposure down until the lights stop blowing out. Leave the flash off: it can't reach the stage and it annoys the people around you.

  3. Film short clips rather than whole songs. Videos with someone else's music can be muted or taken down on copyright grounds, and ten seconds of the crowd singing makes a better Story than four shaky minutes.

  4. Add the venue as the location and mention the support act if you liked them. Smaller bands sometimes notice and reshare fan posts.

  5. Pack earplugs. Shows are loud enough to leave ears ringing for a day, and musicians' earplugs bring the volume down with less muffling than foam ones.

Turn comments into DMs

Ask people to comment PRESALE

End your caption with a line like this:

“Comment PRESALE and I'll send it to you in a DM.”

What they get

The presale code and ticket link for the new tour dates, sent before general sale opens, plus door times for each city.

DMFast answers each comment and sends the DM for you. The first message asks them to reply, then the link follows, because Instagram allows no links in that first message.

Questions people ask

What should I caption a concert photo?

Pick one detail from the night instead of saying it was amazing: where you stood, who you went with, the song that wrecked you, the merch you couldn't resist. Add the artist's handle if you want them or other fans to find the post.

Can I use song lyrics as a concert caption?

Plenty of fans quote a line from the set, and that's your call. Every caption on this page is original, so none of them borrow lyrics. Pair one with the artist's handle or the tour name if you want the post to be clearly about that show.

Will Instagram remove my concert video because of the music?

It can. When a clip contains copyrighted music, Instagram may mute it or take it down, depending on what the rights holder allows. No length is guaranteed to be safe, so keep the original clips saved on your phone as well.

What is post-concert depression?

It's fan slang, not a medical term, for the flat, empty feeling after a show you'd looked forward to for months. People mention it in captions half as a joke. Rewatching clips, swapping videos with friends and planning the next show are the usual ways through it.

Should I post during the concert or after?

A quick Story during the show is fine, but crowded venues often have weak signal and uploads can stall. Most people post the best photos the next day, once they've picked a few from the hundreds they took.
