Gardening captions for dirty hands and slow, green progress
A garden photo is usually soil, a seedling or a very large courgette. These gardening captions are sorted by the stage: planting, waiting, weeding, harvest and the small corner you made out of a few pots.

Tips before you post
Photograph a plant at the same angle every week. A side-by-side of seedling and harvest is the most satisfying post a garden can give.
Shoot in soft morning or late afternoon light. Harsh midday sun flattens leaves and washes out flowers, while low light picks up dew and texture.
Include something that shows size: a hand next to a courgette, a watering can beside a sunflower. It tells the story faster than the caption can.
Mention a plant by name only if you are sure of it. Followers love to help, and a wrong label gets corrected in the comments, which can be friendly and useful.
Do not give away the exact address of a front garden if you are posting from home. A general area is enough for most people.
Questions people ask
What is a good caption for a gardening photo?
One about the real moment: a first seedling, a muddy hand, an enormous courgette. Small, specific lines sound better than generic comments about nature.
How do I take good photos of plants with a phone?
Shoot in soft light, tap on the plant to fix focus, and get close. A clean background such as a fence or a wall helps the plant stand out.
What if my garden does not look good yet?
Post the early stage anyway. A tray of seedlings or a bare bed makes a good before photo, and followers enjoy seeing the whole progress.
Should I tag a plant nursery or a seed supplier?
You can, if you want to credit where it came from. Many small nurseries and seed sellers reshare customer photos, which can help your post reach more people.
