A Facebook QR code for your Page
Paste your Facebook Page link or type its username and get a QR code that opens the Page when scanned. You can switch it to open a Messenger chat with the Page instead. Pick the colours, add a line of text, and save a PNG or an SVG. It is made in this tab and nothing is uploaded.
How it works
1Add your Page
Type the @username under your Page’s name, paste the Page link, or use its numeric ID. Links to posts, groups or share links are rejected with a reason, so you do not print the wrong thing.
2Pick what it opens
Choose your Facebook Page, or a Messenger chat with it. The full link appears under the box, ready to copy, and Open to test lets you try it before it goes on anything printed.
3Style the code
Set the colours, margin, image size and error correction. A contrast check warns when the colours are too close for a phone camera, and a note appears if the code is dense.
4Download it
Save a PNG with an optional line such as “Scan to find us on Facebook”, or an SVG of the code alone for a printer or designer. Both are made on your device.
Page address or Messenger chat
The first option makes a code for your Page’s web address, https://www.facebook.com/yourpage. A phone opens it in the browser or in the Facebook app, whichever it offers. Use it for people you want to see your posts, reviews and opening hours, such as customers in a shop who might like the Page.
The second option makes a code for an m.me link, https://m.me/yourpage. Meta’s Messenger Platform documentation (page updated 23 March 2026, read 7 October 2026) describes m.me as “a URL service provided by Meta that redirects people to a person, page, or conversation in Messenger”, and says the link takes someone to a new conversation or back to an existing one. That is the better pick for a counter or a flyer where you want questions, bookings or orders in your inbox.
Tip: Want the m.me link to carry a label so you can tell which poster someone scanned? The Messenger link generator adds Meta’s optional ref parameter. Whether anything useful happens with it depends on the software reading your Page’s messages.
What the tool accepts, and what it refuses
- A username, with or without @: jaspersmarket or @jaspersmarket.
- A Page link, with or without https:// or www., including m.me and fb.me links.
- A profile.php?id= link or a bare Page ID, for a Page with no username. These use the ID form of the address.
- Not accepted: share links, group, event, photo and post links, and anything with a space in it. A Page’s full name is not its username, so “Jasper’s Market” will not work. Copy the address from your browser instead.
Open to test is the real check. This page cannot know whether a username exists or belongs to a Page, because only Facebook knows that. Open the link on your phone, and if you land where you expected, the code will too.
Printing a code that works
Keep the code dark on a light background and leave a margin of four squares, the width the QR standard asks for. The contrast check compares brightness, not hue, so a blue that looks strong to you can still fail if it is close in brightness to the background. If the code will be scuffed, on a menu or a window, raise error correction a level. Scan the final print with two different phones before ordering a run.
Add a line of text under the code. “Scan to find us on Facebook” does more than a bare square, because people know what happens when they scan it. The line is drawn into the PNG only. The SVG is the code on its own, so your designer can set the words in your brand font.
Questions people ask
Does this work for a personal profile?
It is built for Pages, but the code is only a link to a facebook.com address. A profile’s link would be turned into a code too. What people see on scanning depends on that profile’s privacy settings, so a Page is the safer thing to print.
Where do I find my Page’s username?
It is the @name under your Page’s name. If your Page has none, open the Page in a browser and paste its address, or use the numeric Page ID. Pages without a username are reached by the ID form of the link.
Why choose a Messenger link instead of the Page?
A Page link shows your content and people have to find the message button. A Messenger link starts the chat directly. Use Messenger for questions, bookings and orders, and the Page link for “follow us”.
Will the code change if I post or edit the Page?
No. It holds only the address, so the Page behind it can change freely. If you change the Page’s username, the old address may stop working, so make a new code first and test it.
Does it count scans?
No. The code is a plain link and nothing in it reports scans. To count them you need a link that counts clicks, placed inside the code.
